I'm currently 6 months pregnant and will have a baby boy. While I've never developed morning sickness (as in no nauseous nor vomiting), I've been experiencing stomach indigestion starting last month.
If I eat fish (in any version... even as simple as baked fish with salt or in a soup) or other foods I used to enjoy without problems, I can either have constipation, diarrhea, bloatedness or smell, sulfur burps. It's like all of the sudden I'm having a sensitive stomach. I can't even enjoy snacks at a party without feeling bloated afterwards. Even celery got me bloated yesterday too.
I'm finding myself limited to just boiled chicken, baked chicken with only salt or simple steak with only salt, accompanied with a diet soup. I've never had this happened before. I'm told it's normal but hopefully my tolerance for the foods I used to enjoy return.

Pregnancy can indeed bring about unexpected changes in your digestive system. Many women experience similar symptoms due to hormonal shifts and physical changes during pregnancy. Remember, this period is temporary, and your body often returns to its pre-pregnancy state after childbirth. As an adventurous eater myself, I understand the longing for your favorite foods. When my sister was pregnant, she faced similar challenges, but her love for sushi returned post-pregnancy. Best to enjoy what's comfortable now and look forward to savoring those missed flavors soon! 🍼🍽️
