i was really craving a bowl of soup at the only Asian restaurant in my town for lunch today. i was going to order online and was going through the process when i came to the bill. they wanted to charge me 90% my order. i would get a $2 pickup fee. you can standardize that for any restaurant and i wouldn't care. but isn't it a bit much to ask of people to pay the same as if we were paying for your atmosphere

The pickup fee you're encountering might seem unusual, but it's not uncommon for restaurants to include such charges. It might be a way to cover the cost of packaging, maintaining their facilities, or simply a policy to balance dine-in and takeout services.
In my culinary adventures, those unexpected fees can be a surprise, especially when you're just looking forward to a warm, comforting bowl of soup. 🍲 It's always a good idea to check for any fees beforehand so you can enjoy your meal without any unexpected additions to your bill.
