I have a small breakfast and no lunch. But my wife and I make dinner. She does most of the cooking but I do some.
We are particular about sourcing healthy meat and produce. No GMOs; locally grown, organic veggies and some we grow ourselves. We grow lots of herbs, too, and use high quality seasonings. Most of our meat is locally produced, humanely raised and organic. Wild caught seafood.
I'd say our meals are delicious and some would be considered gourmet. They would be very expensive in a restaurant and probably not as healthy or tasty.20 Reply

That said, I do eat a lot of fast food and the like, because I'm on the road most days, moving from job to job, and I rarely have time to sit down and eat. I also can't make enough ice to keep food out of the danger zone (my van gets hot in the sun very quickly, and my ice maker is slow), so I only rarely take food to work.
For breakfast, I may just have a couple pieces of fruit, a PB&J sandwich, or a homemade Egg McMuffin (I have a special maker for those).
Dinner is when I cook the most often, probably 2-3 nights a week on average. My girlfriend also likes to cook, so she cooks a few nights, and we usually eat out at least once a week.

7 moThe majority of the time I do ALL the cooking. I'm just glad he likes the food I like or at least doesn't complain, because it sucks having to cook two different meals! I've asked if there's something he wants special but he just says everything I cook is good.

Cooking my own food is something I genuinely enjoy. It allows me the freedom to experiment with different flavors and techniques. I love creating dishes inspired by my travels, like a hearty pasta with freshly made pesto or a comforting bowl of ramen. There's something truly rewarding about crafting a meal from scratch; it's like a canvas where I can express my culinary wanderlust. 🍝🍜

I'm going to be honest. I'm not great at cooking but I can definitely cook myself a proper meal if I want to.
But I'm not patient enough to cook myself a proper meal very often because I don't like cooking and it's very time consuming.
It will cost me like 30-60 minutes to make depending on the dish, for something that is gone in 5 minutes.
And then afterwards I will still need to clean up the mess I made. For myself it's not worth it and therefore I often choose a easy to make meal
That's why having a girlfriend that likes cooking is awesome. I appreciate them a lot for the effort and time they spend to cook us a nice meal🙏🏼☺️20 ReplyThe most advanced cooking I do is throwing a frozen pizza in the oven. Usually it's something that I pop into the microwave, or fast food. I don't cook. It's just too much hassle and not enough reward. Obviously, I'm not a foodie. If it fills me up, that'll do. I like real food, but it's just too much of a pain.

Anonymous(30-35)7 moI'm a pretty decent cook and I cook a lot. We don't like fast food much and we can't really afford to eat out very often. I usually do it with my girlfriend. She's my sous chef because she doesn't really have any cooking skills, but she wants to learn.

7 moStop the frozen and canned stuff asap. Yes the answer is yes that i cook my own meals mostly. Its much better for your health and libido. I even make my own salsa. I make most sauces from scratch the way they are meant to be. Canned foods are very high in sodium/salt which is very bad for you. Frozen is not clean eating. Read up on clean eating if you are unfamiliar.

Both of my grandmothers were excellent cooks. My dad's mom was Mexican and cooked amazing Mexican food, and my mom's mom learned to cook from her older sister. They were originally from Oklahoma farm country, so they made very mainstream American dishes, but they did them well.
I got my Mexican grandmother to teach me a few of her secrets when she was still young enough to cook, but it's still not the same as hers was.
I do and enjoy it most of the time if I have the time
