Today is National Donut Day What is your favorite kind of donut?

I do not eat many donuts these days but Dunkin Donuts used to have Apple and Spice donuts that I really liked. They had apple filling and some cinnamon stuff on the outside. I do not even know if they are still made. Dunkies does not seem very interested in donuts anymore.

One time when I was a kid i hitchhiked to the local shopping mall. there was a Dunkin Donuts there and they were just taking the donuts out of the fryolator. They smelled so good i think I bought 6 of them. I think they were 25 cents apiece. I sat on the sidewalk outside the store and ate all 6 of them. They were so good but I was so sick afterwards.

My office is in a bedroom community to the city, and we have a local mom-and-pop doughnut shop that makes great doughnuts. They also have a very friendly staff with virtually no turnover in the past 3-4 years. I buy doughnuts for my office staff every Thursday. I rarely eat doughnuts but when I do, I really like their glazed sour cream (old fashioned) doughnuts!

Yes, there is a local donut place that makes a powdered sugar donut that is soo big if you eat one you do not have to eat again for the rest of the day. The only reason I went to Dunkin was that somebody gave me a gift card.

I like the jelly filled but I hate the sugar coating on the top. I also like the glazed chocolate donuts. I haven't had a donut in probably 4 or 5 years since they changed the way they make them. After I have a donut from dd It goes right through me.

Yes, i liked the chocolate glazed but since Dinkies stopped making them on the premises and have them mass produce in a factory and delivered my truck to each store they really suck. The cardboard box they come in tastes better than the donuts.

Maple bars!! Definitely!! The one's that are nice and fluffy inside not one's that taste like cake.
But I have to say that ever since I was about 5 that my favorite donut was the small ones topped with pink cherry icing so I buy one of those along with my maple bars.

Donuts! Mmmm Yum!! I like donuts almost as much as I like ice cream. Let's see... for me it's a tie vote between French crueller (chocolate, strawberry or maple are all fine), pumpkin spice, applesauce, bear claw, apple fritter, chocolate or glazed old fashioned, buttermilk, jelly, Boston cream... I'm running out of breath here... but by a very, very slight edge, just a good old crumb donut is probably my number one... unless there's a cinnamon roll in the house. But whatever kind it is? I has GOT to be fresh baked and absolutely best of all, if It is still warm!!!

i used to like D and D swirling “donut” it was soft, greasy and yummy. Now it’s just sweet and hard and dry.
I have had Paris baguettes lemon custard filling donut. I like but only have it to share. I might take a bite or two… other than that I throw out the rest. So I don’t buy them.

I have not been to Dunkies in yeas but a few months ago I got a dozen donuts. Instead of having a whole back wall with dozens of kinds of donuts there was a single display case with maybe ten varieties. Most were horrible sounding like onion cream donuts or eye of newt donuts. They had no powdered sugar donuts. The ones I bought were stale as well. Dunkin Donuts has not been the same since this guy retired

I like the custard-filled ones from Dunkin Donuts. There's also this local donut shop that puts different cereals on some of theirs. My favorite is the Fruity Pebble.

That reminds me 7. When I was about 7 or 8, my two sisters and I went to the Sweet Shop about 4 blocks across the park away. They had just pulled the fudge brownies from the oven. To this day, the VERY best brownie I've ever had!

I did not know what that was so I looked it up. I think that those are the Krispy Kreme donuts. They were all the rage here for about 15 minutes. I think most of the stores have closed.

Most places have them, there just a Bavarian cream filled donut, with a chocolate frosting. They're actually just like a "long John" but round. I know my donuts.
