Does ranch belong on pizza?

For a bit of context: I just ordered from a brand new pizzeria and it came with 3 additional sauces with 2 tomato marinara and 1 ranch in plastic containers.

I'm not usually a fan of ranch on other food items, but I tried it on pizza and it was a HIT. It brought a very creamy balance and acidity that together with the jalapeño on the pizza was a game changer. I'm not sure if I liked it because it goes well with this particular flavor (beef with jalapeños) or if it will taste great with other toppings.

What do you think? Do you believe ranch belongs on pizza?

Ranch belongs on salad and maybe as a dip for raw vegetables. It does not belong on pizza, and it only belongs as a dip for Buffalo wings IF AND ONLY IF blue cheese isn’t available. Ranch on Buffalo wings….. of all the blasphemous bullshit🤬….

But I’m definitely not splitting a pizza with those folks unless the ranch comes on the side. Wouldn’t put anything cream-based on a pizza, period. It doesn’t really go with tomato sauce in my opinion. Mixing any type of condiment together is often one of my triggers for throwing up, even just hearing about it. Like I’m gritting my teeth and trying to intentionally self-disassociate as I reference a certain scene in the movie Stepbrothers, at the dinner table…. ugh, I just stifled a gag, legitimately🤢😂 I can’t even link the video because then I might see it or think about it too much. I need to stop talking about it now, lmfao, but if you know, you know. Such a great movie but I have to skip that scene or leave the room, I just can’t handle it😂

My go-to pizza topping is red pizza sauce, pepperoni, chopped garlic and mozzarella cheese. I wouldn't want to dilute it.

Yeah, I meant as a side. I also don't like marinara on top of my pizza. I think people should get the option to eat their pizza without additional sauce if they want to, so any additional sauce so be packed into a container.

Olives are definitely a great topping. I don't know if they go well with jalapeños as they're both acidic (different kind of acidity). Ranch acidity is more mellow, so the boost is tolerated, and the creamy richness mixed with acidity is what I like. Olives with ranch however could probably work.
