Drink as much coffee as you want?
Show table manners. Employees first than employers. Dont drink too much alcohol if served. If not a buffet dont order the most expensive things. Go for a quality item you like and would not have otherwise but dont order the top of the menu price. Dont get me wrong, no need to go for cheap items, But if the average item is lets say 30 dont go for one of the Two 50 items.(random numbers here)
Employer pays majority to all of tips depending on if everything is paid by them or a rule of free food and one free drink etc.
If its a buffet, go for an average amount so others can have something as well.
During desserts and entré especially, employers could go to other tables. Dont sit separate from the employees. Its weird if they create a "high table" so to say.
That being said thats my input from mainly the employer side. Not myself but still.🙈

Largely depends on the restaurant and attitude of employees. Like if something needs to be used up or too much was made sure. But if employees are going to take the piss eating and drinking everything for free its no good.

Thats why you see some places which will throw out left overs rather than let staff eat them or take them home. Become staff have been very greedy

Never gave it much thought, but I would assume not to eat too much so there’s enough for everyone else and try not to look like a slob while eating in front of your coworkers

  • Free food at work often comes with its own set of unwritten rules. First, be mindful of sharing; if there are limited quantities, don't take more than your share. Always remember to express gratitude, perhaps a simple "thank you" to whoever provided the treat. Avoid overindulging, as it's best to leave some for others. Lastly, keep the area tidy; tidying up after yourself is part of the etiquette. 🍪🌟

I always have guests enjoying a business lunch.. it doesn’t matter to them if they order tge most expensive dish on the menu because their work pays for it but they always have me separate their alcohol off the check because their work won’t pay for that…

Me? My current restaurant.. I don’t get 50% off if the item exceeds over $30 so no fish or steaks which sucks!

Enjoy them when you can. We receive one free meal of our choosing in a restaurant only once a month. I wish it was more often.

Do not finish it off unless given the okay by the person who brought it/paid for it.

I don't really eat much at work, once, rarely twice. I do like a cup of coffee or tea when I'm at work.
