Kfc fried chicken or poppeys fried chicken?

alright, ever since i found out the connection between The French Connection and Popeye's chicken i have been trying to try it, for years and years. every time i'm on my way to get some or send someone out to get some, something happens to interfere with it at the last minute and i am never able to get it

i'm in Toronto right now for the World Series and i am going to send someone out for it right now and hopefully try it for the first time in the next hour and report back. and if there's some sort of cole slaw or other famous thing i'm supposed to have with it i will get that, too

and watch, something will happen that will prevent me from trying it 🤷‍♀️

I've tried Popeye's a couple of times.
It's dry and tastes like old oil.

I like KFC.

Out of the major fried chicken chains, Lee's is my favorite.

The little mom and pop chicken places around me, though, are way better than any of the chain places.

I once tried a new flavour at pop eyes chicken and could not sleep until 4 a. m. that night despite being in peak fitness condition because the chemicals in their sauce led to massive dehydration and other times I would order safer menu items from pop eyes and they would give me bread which I view as more dangerous than chocolate or candy because of how much it makes me gain weight. The problem with KFC is that it only takes good if you eat their food right away, if you order a large amount and eat it 4 hours later, it loses its good flavour. My dad likes to order chicken from other places and then we will divide it over 2 days. We are not big junk food eaters but one chicken store is close to his work place and it makes sense if there is no time to get other foods.

We don't have Popeyes up here and the nearest place to us with a KFC is like 50 miles away and it's just over priced pigeon. So, we raise our own. 🤷‍♀️

Yes, then I know what's in it. I also worked at a locally owned grocery store that did this and made their own mix and breading. Still some of the best fried chicken I've tasted.

I was recently introduced to Raising Caines and that's some pretty good fried chicken and sweet tea. They have decent slaw as well
