Jack is a very decent inexpensive whiskey. But I don't really consider it a sipping whiskey neat or on the rocks. For that I usually go with Woodford Reserve or Elijah Craig. Jack is great for whiskey cocktails. Same with Bulleit Bourbon or Rye. In a pinch. Jim Beam Bourbon is cheap and it's the staple for every bar in America when it comes to Whiskey cocktails if the customer doesn't specify a Whiskey. Manhattans and Old Fashioned's, the classics, are my Whiskey cocktails of choice. But once in a while a Whiskey and Ginger is a light tasting option.

Getting away from whiskey, Gin can be great. A gin and tonic is a great hot weather drink, clean and fresh. A Martini is an acquired taste (for me) but it can be nice once in a while. And a Vesper Martini is something different but it's a one per night sort of drink, powerful.

Vodka does nothing for me. It's virtually tasteless. Right or wrong, I've always considered Vodka as a mixer for fruit juice drinks and something for college kids to get drunk on. Yuck. Flavored Vodka? Double yuck!

Beer and wine is great with foods for some reason. No competition here.

I've seen it but never tried it. Big difference from normal Jack Daniels? Worth a try?

I used to go to for the traditional caesar drinks without alcohol since it is cheaper without alcohol, but now I prefer citrus flavours like the pomegranate cooler and the peach Bellini more.

Recently I learned I can't have the fruit drinks at McDonalds again, because they use grapefruit in a lot of their cocktails, and both me and my dad are taking medications that stop working when you consume grapefruit.

  • Ah, there's something classic about enjoying a Jack on the rocks. My taste for alcoholic drinks has evolved through countless culinary adventures. I still remember sipping a perfectly crafted Negroni in a small bar in Rome. Its balance of bitterness and sweetness was unforgettable.🍹 Another personal favorite would be a well-made sake enjoyed during a kaiseki meal in Kyoto. The delicate flavors brought out the essence of the dish and connected with the tradition beautifully.

And just to clarify, my favorite alcoholic drink would be anything with alcohol in it.

I read this as "what's an alcoholic's drink of choice" , not "what's your alcoholic drink of choice". My favorite whiskey is MB Roland Bourbon when I can get it. I'll settle for Wild Turkey 101 proof or Old Granddad bonded 100 proof, which are pretty much the best cheap whiskey money can buy. If I get a good expensive bottle of booze, I have to hide it in my room so my brother doesn't guzzle it down.

@On_cloud_wine Too many contaminants introduced in their process, it's not a clean whiskey. That shit gives me a terrible hangover compared to other whiskies

Really… what whiskeys don’t add contaminates? What are a few clean whiskeys… I’ve been drinking jack honey for a while now… tastes nice and smooth in a hotty totty, but I prefer less additives and more organic.

Do you live with your brother? lol
