What's the best restaurant you've ever been to?

Midwest is the region. And the restaurant is Skaets. Its a mom and pop kind of place, Greasy spoon.. And its been in my town since the 1940's, I kid you not, the owner's children work the grill, their children also work the grill and so on. Best place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner where I'm from. the menu though is very Meat and potatoes centered, its not fancy. To put it a different way, Its the kind of thing a hard working farmer, or laborer would come home to a century ago. Its where you go to get a good, filling meal, that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg (average bill is between 25 and 25 dollars for two). We have been going there regularly for over a decade.

Belsito Trattoria. I'm not a bougie guy by any means, but that was one fancy place I can argue was worth the price. The service was incredible. The vibe was great. The food was amazing. The location was quaint. Everything was perfect, and I had a great date with my ex of 3 years there at the time.

I'm leaning towards Hy's. They have several locations.
Bogart's at the Krystal Vallarta was also very good.
House of Prime Rib in San Francisco used to be good. I don't know if it still is.

Landry in Galveston in June 2009. Had 16oz Riley with bake potatoe and salad. The meat was aged and cooked to perfection. Surprised me because I ordered it MR-. THE BEST steak I've ever had.

There is a restaurant that sits between the North River and the Atlantic called the Bridgewaye. Great seafood, steaks, and some Italian dishes. Great views and a nice outdoor patio.
