What are your favorite kind of ribs to eat and cook?

My favorite are Country Style ribs. They're the ones I always barbecued on my grill and smothered with honey barbecue sauce. 😋

As I was trying to remember the different types of ribs, my list was getting pretty long, so I thought 🤔 this would be a good question for the people on GaG.

Let's see... beef and pork to start with. Spareribs, baby back ribs, St. Louis ribs, riblets, country style ribs - can you add any more here please?

I always loved my country style ribs to barbecue on my grill. 🙂 They are very big with a lot of meat on them. Not like spareribs which is mostly the bone. You really have to work only to end up with a few pieces of meat. They probably named them spareribs so people would ask "Can you spare some ribs"? Hehehe 🤣

Slow cooked baby back. When they're done, I put bbq sauce on them and bake them for about 10 minutes. I tried spare ribs once, the butcher told me they're a little more tricky to cook to preferred tenderness and he was right! I ended up ordering pizza. I never tried making them again.

I was never really a fan of ribs. If I do have some Honey Garlic baby pork ribs is what I would cook.

Baby back, I've only been eating ribs for about the past yr, for some reason I didn't think I liked them but now, I could eat them every day!

I’m with you on country style ribs, super satisfying and meaty 😋

My top choice to cook and eat is St. Louis–cut pork ribs, slow-smoked, dry-rubbed, then finished with a light glaze of sauce so you still taste the pork. For beef, I love big smoked beef short ribs, like “brisket on a stick” 🥩🔥

Honorable mention: baby backs with a spicy-sweet Asian glaze.
