Is this price for the quality of the food ridiculous? why are places like Pizza Hut and papa John's so expensive now?

Now that prices are down the big companies are keeping their high prices to gouge customers for as long as they can. The only thing that will cause them to go down is when people stop buying from them, but there are so many wealthy and upper middle class people now who will just pay whatever it costs compared to previous generations that they don't even care about the middle and lower class people not being customers.

The only thing that will shake this out and back to normal is a depression that affects everyone.

They are expensive because people pay the price they are asked to, in UK it's the same thing happening, I don't eat out very much anymore, just a confusing rip off mostly, eg McD used to be a cheap and quick meal, £8 now for a basic,,,
