Trending & News The last was a loaf of brioche from scratch. I don't use any automated mixers when doing bread though, I prefer to feel the texture of the dough as everything incorporates and becomes "right". Downside with brioche to using hands is that you are essentially forcing more butter into the dough than it might reasonably expected to accept, and the warmth of your hands will make it sloppy and shaggy, and your hands gooey and slippy. Solution is to refrigerate the dough after working it to give it some firmness, then give it a quich workout when your ready to finish. Admittedly dough hooks on a mixer might keep things a bit cooler.
Shokupan using the Tang Zhong method is a pain to work simply because it is so sticky until it comes together that I'd imagine even a mixer would have to be stopped regularly to clear the hooks. The result is awesome though.
Jacket potato, I’d say it’s a 6/10 on the difficulty scale. The ingredients weren’t too tricky to use either and I had a couple of anxious moments when in the oven I’ll admit but I pulled it back and rescued it😮💨 haha. That’s honestly about my limit 😔
like a baked potato? is a six out of ten? with no finicky yeast or dough involved?
i feel like I’m missing something
I think it was banna bread. I make it often
yummy. that’s on my list

Probably a mini essay that could be half-baked, but cooking is a path more than a destination.
I don't have a stand mixer because if I did I would bake things I shouldn't eat.
lol lol
do you find yourself eating these things anyways but you didn’t make them yourself high quality
or has that strategy actually kept you off carbs

You get some kind of tray you use in the oven. The you get a sheet of parchment paper that's twice the size of the tray. You fold it in half and leave it, open, on the tray. You put a bunch of strips of bacon on the one half of the paper that's on the tray then fold the other half of the sheet over onto the bacon to keep it from splashing the oven as it cooks. Set the oven for about 450 and put the tray in the oven for about 40:00.
i don’t eat bacon
but thanks for the detailed instructions, i guess?
