It's interesting most chefs are male, however the majority of at home cooking is female dominated

Nobody cooks like our mothers and grandmothers, and I think that’s something most of us can get behind. It doesn’t have to be “better” in the literal sense, maybe chefs have better cooking techniques… but it’s years of tradition, family recipes, and cooking with love for their loved ones, spending time together at home. And of course there are some guys who are great cooks too, both at home or professionally just in general. But personally I still think that there’s nothing like a mother’s cooking.

I would say that most women are better cooks than most men, but a man who cooks well is likely better than most women. As you pointed out, most top chefs are men. Also it’s worth noting that the home cooking gap between married or cohabitating men and women has shrunk over the years. However, single women are more likely than single men to prepare meals at home either for themselves or to share with family and friends. This data is often used to misrepresent how much of the cooking is done by women in heterosexual relationships. They love to act like they’re literally living “The Handmaid’s Tale”. Ell oh ell!

Some women are fire on the grill, but yes it's mostly a man thing
