Why is a teenage or 20 something server at my brother's job eating customer's leftovers, he is disgusting?

it's not good for the restaurant. why does he still work? He should have been fired. Should I go talk to the manager?

Mind your own business.

For one thing, it doesn't matter - once the customer leaves, his leftovers are for anyone - often dogs.

But, in this day and age, even food is expensive so you get freebies wherever you can. When I was in graduate school (which isn't exactly a high-paying position), I got smart - and fed - by going to a lot of colloquia and symposiums with free food.

If it bothers you, talk to HIM, not the manager. Maybe this coworker is in financial dire straits.
