The most versatile is sourdough baguette, it works with everything, meat, vegetables, before microwaving with cheese on it i prefer to drop salt water on it even if it's fresh because heating dehydrates it anyway, or i even put chocolate on it and microwave, which i cannot do with rare flavorful black breads. the only square shape pre-sliced toasts i eat are sprouted ones (yes, there are mass produced sprouted-grain breads). ă ¤
Wheat bread
White for most things.

.
I usually reach for good whole-wheat bread. The nutty flavor and chewy texture feel more satisfying, and it reminds me of a tiny bakery in Florence where I had warm pane integrale with olive oil and salt 😍.
That said, a soft white loaf is perfect for things like katsu sando or grilled cheese. Each has its moment, but daily life leans whole-wheat for me.

This is the stuff. Fresh every day, 4 ingredients (whole kernel flour, water, yeast, salt), the equivalent of a $1.50 US dollars, or $1.35 Euro.
No chemicals, no preservatives, no glyphosate or pesticides in the flour. What a concept. You can get it soft baked, medium baked or crusty, made from white flour or "complete" (all grain) flour. What a concept.
Whole wheat. I always buy Honey Wheat bread.
I like both, it depends on what I try to make.
White bread has no substance and is pretty horrible.
Plus, it's infested with folic acid, these days.
Even with brown you have to be careful.
White personally. Whole-wheat bread just sort of tastes like literal cardboard to me. It's possible the whole-wheat bread sold in stores near me just sucks but yeah.
Depends on what I'm eatingâŚWhite bread makes a better grilled cheese, but I prefer whole wheat for most sandwiches.
Whole wheat generally. It has more texture and flavor. That pre-sliced packaged white bread is pretty much tasteless and spongy soft.
Whole grain. I actually bake my own bread. Far nicer and lasts longer
These are 'emergency' bread to me.
Give me sourdough, give me rye.
Not white bread thatâs cheap. I like grains
Buttermilk white bread
Whole wheat. White bread grosses me out lol
I like multi-grain bread or sourdough.
White, but I know, it is not healthy enough
NeitherâŚ. I prefer anything WHOLE GRAIN.
