So standards....
Let's talk about standards. A standard is a level of attainment or the degree of evaluation of a person's worth. Do you find anything wrong with this definition?
I find plenty wrong here. Mainly because I believe you set standards for yourself and not anyone else. So correction,
A standard is a level of self attainment or the degree of evaluation of a person's self worth.
The thing I find amiss with most women is that they, like most men aspire for success in life but never strive for it but failing this try to hatch on to those men who actually work very hard to match their own standards.
They delude themselves into thinking that this is nothing less than what they're worth. That their mans accomplishment is their's as well. Yes, they believe that they're 'entitled' to his hard earned life's work.
But what about men? I believe men see more success in life. And I believe this is simply because men take more risks and fail. And fail often. And fail more often than we succeed. Like Winston Churchill said
"Success is stumbling from one failure to another without any loss in enthusiasm."
We face rejection more often, much more often. In life and in love. Its hard being a man. Most women never understand the trials men face. Men are made or broken. We have no say in that. We either strive, strive and succeed or we just don't. There is no middle ground.
And that is the unspoken standard all men, however unaware must live upto.
Now my dear lads, when a woman plays hard to get or thinks something like this
Oh really? Here's how we look at women who play hard to get
You know what you ought to do. Walk A-way. Don't look back. Time is precious. You have no time to for someone else's crap or standards. A woman/man like that is either of these two things.
1) is a snob.
2) has too much time on his/her hands.
But that is not to say that there aren't great women, there are, quite a few. A great woman isn't hard to get, she's hard to find. Because they, like great men undergo the same trials and survive the standards imposed by society, some unfair ones even. These are the qualities of a great woman according to me.
1. Knows the difference between price and value.
2. Work hard, ridiculously hard to get to where they want to be and live up to their standards.
3. Is humble, but can stand up for herself. And doesn't expect a man to do it for her.
4. Being a leader, not a bossy woman. Most women don't get the difference. A leader carries the most burden, doesn't add it to the others.
5. Doesn't mind the competition and dirty jobs. No job is above her station.
6. Sees the humor in life, knows that rejection and failure are natural.
7. Takes risks. Yes, takes chances, beat the fear of failure. Because overthinkig and indecision are more costly than failing. Failure over regret.
Great women have many similarities with great men. Or to those itching to counter argue, great men have many similarities with great women. Happy?
Now, my dear friends, the most important thing in your personal life is not getting the right person. It is keeping them.
Its about choosing the one person and sticking to them through thick and thin. Perseverance, is truly the most essential quality of a great person.
So again my dear lads, know your own worth. When a woman plays hard to get no matter what she thinks about herself. Show her the door. Or better yet walk out that door and never look back. Because a true woman would never do anything as boring as mind games. She'd make your life more than complete.
So ladies, food for thought.
