4 Martial Art Styles Women Should Consider for Self-Defense

Imhotep99

I'm back with another martial art take but this time it's for the women of GAG.

Women of GAG, there are four things that are likely to happen to y'all. They can happen anywhere.

Those four things are-

1) You can be grabbed from any angle(the objective being robbery, kidnap etc).

2) You can be pulled by the hand(the objective being the same as above).

3) You can be taken down to the ground(in most cases the objective being rape).

4) You can be hit while standing.

Here are some martial art styles you can learn to defend yourself from the above scenarios respectively.

1) Judo

Its most prominent feature is its competitive element, where the objective is to either throw or takedown an opponent to the ground, immobilize or otherwise subdue an opponent with a pin, or force an opponent to submit with a joint lock or a choke. A judo practitioner is called a judoka.

Ronda Rousey is a famous judoka.

2) Aikido

Aikido techniques consist of entering and turning movements that redirect the momentum of an opponent's attack, and a throw or joint lock that terminates the technique. Aikido mainly focuses on hand twists and attacks.

3) Brazilian-Jiu-Jitsu(BJJ)

BJJ is a martial art, combat sport system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. If you're taken down to the ground, this is what you need to use. BJJ consists of takedowns, guards, chokes and defenses to each of them.
