May I just make a small point. We don't always rely on social media to make us feel better. Seeing it on there makes us sometimes feel worse. When guys like other girls pictures with that perfect bikini body, girlfriends or crushes begin to feel really crappy. Personally that like button and the need for confirmation is one of the main reasons we get insecure in the first place.

I guess it depends on how you take it. I remember there was a girl I was seeing, and she used to always like whatever her ex posted. Of course it made me feel a little crappy, but I just told my self 'that's life' and I went and focused on my own things, gym, study etc. The more you dwell on things, the worse it becomes.
It's nice that someone actually understands that it's not the media's or anyone else's fault but your own. I've never been insecure about anything. YOU are to blame for your insecurities.

Thanks, exactly right. We all have to take responsibility for our own emotional state.
Too many bitches have too high of an opinion of themselves and set their demands much too high. Any bitch can catch a dick if she is realistic about the bait she has to offer. But a bitch who is a 2 thinking she deserves a guy who is a 10 is almost funny in its absurdity. And yet, that's what they do every single day.
I bet Gena Reinhardt would trade half her wealth for a bikini body and the face of a model. Have you read "Mastermind Of Mars"? An evil scientist has his minions kidnap beautiful women, and men too, then rich people pay him to take their brains out and put them in the gorgeous young bodies.
Hmmm you use examples of women who have money and a niche. The real world isn't so nice. Usually you're reduced to the friends with benefits zone if you are not a thin, hottie with majority of guys.
It's not about fame, or money, it's about turning the mindset over, seeing yourself as a better person. People that reduce themselves down has issues, not because there ugly. It's an ugly world, because people live in that world themselves, and don't see other things as clearly
@Gustafsone12584 It's not always that easy. Positive thinking helps a majority of people but some don't respond to it. (Like me). I tried positive affirmations, positive thinking, trying to find positive media only, didn't work. What's working for me is letting fate find me then trying (and failing) than forcing change.
so your rreason the one girl dosnt care she isn't hot is because she is rich. another superficial criteria. really get over yourself.

Did I say that? Haha, I'm not surprised you've had trouble comprehending what I've written based on how you've just written this comment. If you had better comprehension skills you would understand that I was implying that given so many girls will feel terrible about themselves because of how they look, even to the point of feeling suicidal, there are plenty of people who don't look like magazine models, who are very successful. Looks aren't everything.
and judging how you come off like a know it all who is telling girls how they should feel I'm not surprised you come off like one in your response either. if you had better social skills you would understand that your perspective isn't the same to everyone.
What about your past huh? Things that happened in your past can traumatize you and make you feel insecure.

Indeed they can, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't bullied at times when I was little. However I'm hardly going to let that affect me now. You've got to protect yourself and your emotions.
I really enjoyed the basic message here. You gotta love yourself during every chapter of your life. Seriously, it's too short to be wasting time being unhappy about superficial stuff.
Insecurity is hormonal? That's absolute rubbish. Sure hormones can influence depression and insecurity might help to promote depression. But insecurity itself has nothing to do with hormones.
Yeah, I'm not denying that. That's why I said hormones can influence depression. But it isn't depression that makes you insecure, the insecurity already exists. You might just dwell on it more when you're depressed.

You seem pretty cool. I'm gonna follow you.
It also matters who you have in your life. Family, partner, friends. If they are negative towards you, they create and keep you insecure.

I actually love Rebel Wilson. Can't get enough of her on screen.

Not my fault you're unable to hold a debate.
I didn't know this was a debate. I'm just telling you your a tool
That doesn't make sense.

If you have support from family and friends it not so bad.
No one choose to be insecure, as no one choose to be miserable.
.. And never said they did...
i think they should change what they don't like on themselves instead of talking about it over and over.
This was so nice to read and I think women should be happy for who they are. :-)
dude, stahp trying to make it go away,
its never gonna go away.
plus its one of the main reasons guys score one night stands..
girls have the same rights as much as the boys do...
Do I have any valid excuses for my insecurities, then?
I still wonder how girls can dwell in their insecurities
It's hormonal, stop with the fault finding 🤣
Insecurity is hormonal? That's absolute rubbish. Sure hormones can influence depression and insecurity might help to promote depression. But insecurity itself has nothing to do with hormones.
Try taking shots of estrogen, you will feel more emotional than usual.

Insecurities aren't hormonal
@NatashaBeauty Being hormonal is a fact, it changes the mood, it changes how you think of yourself sometimes.
Interesting take from a dude.
