Trending & News Does it matter? Just like women have to accept that men have a million and one preferences, so do men have to accept that there are preferences common among women. But that doesn't mean the vast majority of women wouldn't compromise. If it did, most short guys with gfs and wives wouldn't have either. Duh.
But yeah, many women have height preferences. So do a lot of men.
I personally strongly prefer men taller, more than just a couple inches taller. I'm 5'4 and I like them around 5'10/5'11 at least, which is average in the US anyway. 5'11-6'4 is what I usually like.
I read the posts. Yeah a lot of those girls sound like assholes. They dont strike me as the most intelligent, kind hearted people out there anyway. And be sure that my girlfriends and I usually aren't into short guys and we DO NOT say dumb shit like that. I can imagine the kinds of girls I have known who would say things like that and theyre not the best prizes themselves usually to be honest. Be glad you dont have to be concerned with dating someone who clearly lacks in character on several levels. Sometimes singular comments can show you a lot about who someone is. Take it as warning, heed it, and move on with your wonderful life and find happiness. Not everyone is an asshole and plenty of women date shorter guys. Its not rare at all. Look around.
6' isn't that rare in my experience. Maybe 6'4, but not 6'. And it depends on where you live. In some countries and even in some states within the U.S., there are higher concentrations than others.
Hate may be a little extreme, but tall guys are more attractive. That's right, I said it. Just like thin/healthy girls are more attractive than fat girls. And some fat girls don't/can't do anything about their weight. Does them telling a guy that their family genes prevent weight loss suddenly make him find her attractive? No. We know short guys can't help their height. But does knowing that make them more attractive? No.
Sorry.
Fitness = healthy.
Fitness does not equal thinness, necessary. Just because someone isn't obese it doesn't mean they're skinny. Just like how someone is skinny doesn't magically make them obese either.
If you're fit, you don't typically carry excess bodyfat. And you look trimmer and not as soft.
Wow those tweets are really mean. Personally I'm short and I dont really have a preference so I like guys around my height as well ;) And if girls reject you for your height, than they obviously didn't take the time to really see who you are so dont let them get to your head
It just feels weird to date a guy shorter than me. Like he wouldn't be able to protect me and that other guys would insult his manhood for being with a girl taller than him
You mean short guys are physicallly weaker and thus can't protect you?
Protect from WHAT?
Its always the bag eggs who say the worst/most controversial things who are the most visible to us. Its the way our media and society works, we focus on the bad rather than the good. There is always one side that speaks out more than the other.
Yes, a lot of girls prefer taller guys. But really, if a shorter guy wants to, he can more than make up for his lack of height in other ways. Society is becoming more accepting.
Thats just reality bro

These people are terrible people to begin with. But it comes from the silly idea that "we are all cavemen and the guy protects the girls and the hunters and the gatherers and the we still haven't reached civilized behavior and logical assessment of another person's compatibility when we're looking for a potential long-term partner, also having sex with a thousand women is how bugs maintain their numbers so monogamous relationships where the raising of children is supported is totally unnatural and wrongggggg"
Yeah, it's silly. I'm 5'7", it technically just means that I shouldn't try hitting on girls who are 5'9" or higher, due to it causing some sort of inferiority complex to "be next to a guy who is shorter than me".
Indeed. My gf is 5'4", it works perfectly fine. Albeit I think a 4"+ difference would make simple things like kissing more complicated.
...wait, she's 5'3". yeah, you're right :D
I really think the "biological hardwire" is actually more of a cultural thing in this case. Have you ever heard a girl not be like "a guy HAS TO BE TALLER than the girl?" That's not a biological thing, that's a concept from culture.
I don't necessarily agree because in every culture the men are always taller and bigger then the female. So the female wants a bigger taller guy. Just like guys are shown images of skinny girls and yet out biological instincts tell us that thicker girls are hotter because they are better for reproduction purposes.
Hmm, maybe. Although I think equal height is what would make most sense to me.
It's part of life. Short men are just extremely unattractive to women. So make sure that any little siblings you have eat plenty and take protein shakes!
And on the flip side, never apologize to women or feel bad when they call you shallow for not wanting a fat chick or one that's cut off all her hair, etc.
Wow those tweets are mean. Luckily I'm 6'5 but I do feel bad for short guys.
I get that being tall is attractive - as I am not at all attracted to short women - but I never tell them their height is a turn off. I don't want to make them feel bad about something they cannot change.
Wow what a nasty bunch of women. That is sad. At 6'3" I have not had to deal with that. But still, not everyone is over 6'.
I don't care about height, I'm super short so it doesn't matter...I don't look for tallness in a guy
As for the girls in that link...and those who agree...as my best friend would say "B*tches be Trippin"
4'9 1/2
These aren't just extreme examples a lot of girls prefer taller guys.
Check here.
Even a 6 foot tall guy is too short for some girls.

You'll notice that a ton of those tweets have more to do with the behavior and attitude of short men than with their appearance. A lot of short guys have a chip on their shoulder and over compensate for their height with aggression and ego that comes off negatively to women.
Im 5'1, so, I'm not dating someone shorter than me.
Yes a short man has to earn $100,000 more than a short man to have the same social status with women. These are the same women who moan about men liking size 0 blonds. Both as shallow as shit.
Yo, if you're short, don't even trip, you don't want those kind of girls in your life anyway.
Too many fucking victims in our society.
"Short guys are a waste of sperm and good credit" hahahaha :')
No I agree that those are normal examples and pretty common thoughts. Not extreme at all.
Hey don't down vote me. I'm just being honest. My friends and I all think short guys are gross. I don't know a single girl who likes them. I'm just being honest.
Aren't people downvoting you just as honest as you in expressing their opinion?
Really not. Fact is no female prefers short guys. Well settle for them but it's FACT that we don't prefer them. It's not my personal opinion. You can't really disagree with it.
No it can't be a fact. Because I've met few women/girls who PREFERRED to have a spouse who's shorter than them. Do some research on social media site, or forum that is addressed to these kind of liking and you'll see there are a lot of women who've got a preference for shorter men. But even if there's only one woman/girl on this planet that likes shorter guys more than taller guys, it would defy your claim that this may be a fact.
You can't just decalre something as a "fact" just because you have not seen, heard or experienced it.
*You can't just declare something as a "fact" just because you have not seen, heard or experienced otherwise.
.01% of the pop MAYBE. Don't get your knickers in a knot. It's just height.
I feel bad for my short guys around the world
