Why do you girls hide your face?

Why do you girls sometimes hide your face when a guy looks at you?
Considering the guy is not bad looking at all.

im just actually kinda shy to look at a guy straight in the eyes. I can berely look at my boyfriend in the eyes right now (im working on it!) but its like fine for me if they're more than 2meters away or we're doing sports, but put me in a disco, restaurant, movies and I tend to look down...
I think its only when I like the guy that I have even more trouble looking up at them too :)

I hide my face because I get really embarrassed. This one guy in my class always stares at me and we are kind of flirty friends and whenever he looks at me for long periods of time I get really nervous and feel like he can see what I'm thinking and I knows I'm kind of crushing on him or I feel like he's going to see I don't know something wrong with my face.
