Why do girls blow hot and cold?

Why do women blow hot and cold? You'll talk to them one time and then another time they'll ignore you or avoid you. I know men do this too and I've never understood why this happens.

Is it a girl's way of telling you that they don't like you?

I've done it to appear non clingy if I like a guy. Plus it's been a way for me to protect myself from player type guys. I'm not saying it's right and I don't want to play games, but I do it none the less. See if you catch her looking at you when she thinks you can't see her. If she does then she likes you. Plus, she could be shy around you. I'm shy around guys I like.

Trust me, the way I act has caused the same confusion for guys I have talked to. The only thing that saved my chances with one guy was that he came right out and asked me what was up. I told him he made me nervous which confused him, but we were able to talk it out and move forward. The fact that he did that made me want him that much more.

I wouldn't like to confront someone like that, but yeah it's really weird. One minute, I think she likes me and the next, I think she doesn't like me. I just cannot figure her out, but whatever, no harm has been done, I'm not offended just perplexed.

I'm not very good at understanding women lol.

We are really fragile, and if the guy act "hot" we get really nervous and hard to get "Cold" (stupid) so you fight more for us and when you get discouraged we act "hot" and it goes on and on till someone make a move !

Why do you do it? It's mainly because they aren't really that into the guy I find the more you talk to a guy when you don't really like him the more mixed signals you send out and he persues you more so cutting it off solves the problem.

Yeah fair enough, but I don't present mixed signals and neither do I blow hot and cold with a person.

Also I haven't pursued this girl at all, unless creating small talk with a girl and giving her a compliment after she gave me one counts as pursuing, then I guess I'm guilty, but I do see what you mean.

Well the only way to be sure if she likes you is to spark contact with her a lot and if she isn't giving as much as you move on, when we like a guy we want to hear from them all the time so she will always respond if it's half hearted or short answers get someone else who deserves you 😊

Yeah of course, I like this girl but if she isn't interested that's cool, I'll just keep it civil with her and that will be it. It's no skin off my nose, I'm pretty used to rejection. :p

I found it odd, we saw each other made some small talk, she was giggling a lot, she paid me a compliment, I paid her a compliment, I broke some ice with her, I saw her a little while later she gave me the biggest smile and then I saw her a few hours later and she seemed to avoid me and ignore me, it wasn't until I asked her if she was okay did we make some small talk and she seemed warm to me.

I'm starting to think she's in two minds about her, I hope I haven't come across as a creepy or something. :/

I wouldn't know, I don't think complimenting someone on the fact that I think they have an amazing smile is insulting, though I could be wrong! haha!

I just don't know. I know she's not very comfortable around me and is shy around me. Her interactions with other people is a lot better than what I get.

But I'm not going to beat myself up about it, I'll just keep things civil, it's just hard to read her that's all.
