Do women find guys that drive stick shift more attractive?

My friend says that women find guys that know how to drive stick shift more attractive, is this true?

yes, it takes more skill and thinking to learn to drive/drive a stick. I have always wanted to drive a stick, i wanted my first car desperately to be manual, but that just never happened. its nice to know if you needed to drive a manual that you could. i take comfort in that. there's something thats a little hot when guys drive sticks, i don't know what it is... but yeah, i find manual way more attractive. its not a significant difference, but it would make me smile.

I think there is a bit of a stereotype about guys who drive stick shifts. It sometimes gives you the assumption that you take good care of your car, know a lot about cars, and/or a sensation of "don't worry babe, I know what I'm doing, I keep this car in good shape and look how well I treat it". But maybe that's just me. I don't personally see it as a negative trait but it's not particularly attractive to me either.

I don't understand why guys think this is true. An ugly guy who drives a stick is just that. An ugly guy who drives a stick. He's still ugly.

And an asshole who drives a stick is still an asshole.

They're just more likely to stall their car going down the road.

I think for someone self-named prettygurll it's ironic you'd see others as ugly, since usually the negativity we see in others is only a reflection of how we feel about ourselves inside.. I'd take a regular looking good hearted woman over a shallow girl with a Zen like sexpot body any day. by the way what you just said was shallow and ugly in my opinion..

Uhm, stalling a manual while moving is about as likely as stalling an auto at a standstill. Stalling while taking off and stopping is common, plus maneuvering in tight spaces causes a lot of stalls when you're constantly riding the clutch (I know because my job involves moving manual and auto cars every single day in a tight car park). Stalls are so rare in motion, they're more likely when you're in an unfamiliar manual as no two manuals are the same. Some contributing factors may be an extra gear that throws you off, a worn gearbox, higher friction point or just a very worn down car that can be a bit "feisty".

It's never in my life crossed my mind and I couldn't care less. My ex has driven both. It made no difference to me. I like guys who drive trucks.

So you like guys who burn more gas and pollute more than they need to, by driving a vehicle with hauling capacity they rarely if ever use? Not to mention most guys who drive trucks are aggressive a-holes on the road (and probably in their relationships too). Some women like that in a man, I guess, but I’ve always preferred women who aren’t masochists.

What is says for the most part is that you are young and need to pay a few thousand dollars less for a car due to insufficient savings or a low paying job. I'd guess girls that currently drive a car with a manual transmission would like it so that you could drive their car on road trips and they could sleep while you stay up all night, but besides them rest probably don't give a shit.

Oh honey, it’s the 2020s, stick shift cars are hard to come by in the US, you have to go out of your way to find them. If someone is driving a stick now, it’s not because he wants to save money, it’s because he wants to actually enjoy driving.

YES. If there was a guy who i knew who drove a stick shift, i would find him more attractive because driving a stick shift takes intelligence. You have to know when to switch gears and everything when turning corners or just on the highway.
