When girls look at you then look away?

There's a girl I met recently and gotta say I like her some. We were talking at work one day, and something caught my attention, so I look away from her, but was able to see from the corner of my eye her looking at me, but as soon as I turn my head back to look at her, she looks away. Wouldn't think much of it, but she did it two more times that same day. Any help as to what it may mean?

Okay... things catch our eyes. Being a girl, I know a lot of female tendencies are to over-analyze guys' body language. She may (emphasis on MAY) have read your roaming eye contact incorrectly. Her inability to maintain eye contact with you may mean any number of things (no man has ever successfully been able to interpret a woman's entire reasoning). She may have attempted to see what caught your eye (which may be why she was looking at you perifirilly). And then if she were perhaps insecure (which most women are in a possible future relationship - loose or otherwise), she MAY avoid eye conflict as she MAY feel like she was not unique enough to hold your attention. This is merely a possibility. To truly know what was going on with her, and what she was thinking... the answer is simple... Just ask her. As a woman, I like. Man to ask me what I am feeling, or if I am getting then in he is sending my way... If you want to know what she was thinking... Ask her! I know this can be intimidating, but I cN honestly say any of us on this site can only assume... She is the only one who can truly tell you what her actions meant.

True. Best way to find out would be ask. I may have not been too detailed in the question, sorry. We've known each other about 3 months, so it's not like this were the first time we've talked. While we were hanging out at work, I was looking at something from across the room, but I could see her out of the corner of my eye, and was able to see her looking at me with her head turned in my direction, but as soon as I looked back at her, she looked away into another direction, away from what I was originally looking at, and noticed this same action 2 more times. Each time, she looked away as if she was working on something (which I knew wasn't the case lol)

To be honest, I can't really remember. Most I can recall is I looked in another direction for some apparent reason. I probably thought I saw something.

She may have interpreted it as something entirely different. I just know being a girl... we do that. Nothing is straight forward. The only thing you can count on is being totally honest. As a girl (even at my age), I just wished men would tell me what they were thinking about me. That would have gone much longer than what most men do (not understand, and make the wrong assumption).
