Why did she randomly hit me up?

Girl I was trying to talk to said I like you as a friend, so I took my loss and left. She randomly hits me up today (month and few weeks later) saying we haven't talked in forever and we should hangout. We weren't close friends at all, why try to reconnect? Whats her angle?

Because you disappeared and she 'wondered' what happened to you. The thing is, people like to get chased and feel wanted. When you kept moving on, she all of a sudden thought to herself 'i wonder what happened to that guy'.. so she's basically just hitting you up to see whether you've started dating someone or whether she can get her ego stroked.

I have old female friends that randomly hits me up as well. In fact an old stripper friend hit me up last week to hang out last friday. We just caught up and said she'd hook me up with hot friends. I highly doubt that though.
