There is this girl in my class, I like her but I'm not attracted to her... She's funny and kinda lazy... lol Any ways were friends and were both in a relationship, today she said she was very sleepy because she spent all night writing a paper and what not, she almost fell sleep in her seat, I asked her if she had any breakfast, she said no... So I told her lets grab something in an Ihop. She said that sounds great but I don't have any money, so I did what any gentleman would do and said its on me... She seemed offended !!! What the hell? I'm being nice here !!! Lol
So I took my friend instead... I'm just wondering, what went thro her mind?

well maybe she doesn't really think of you as a friend then. How do you know that you two are friends? She could have been confused by you if she doesn't think of you as a friend. she could have been thinking something like "i dont know this guys like that, i dont want him to think that just becasue i talk to him means that i want to date him" She just may not feel comfortable enough around you to let you take her out to eat..

I am in a relationship and honestly i do not really care to make meaningful friendships with the opposite sex well becasue im just not looking for friends at this point in my life. Also when you get older guys really do not want to be just freinds with you, they want more than just friends, so guys do not even really apporach me to be just friends. The majority of the time guys will hit on me, and ask me if i have a boyfriend and when i tell them that i have a boyfriend they will just leave me alone.

If after i told a guy that i have a boyfriend and then he says that he wants to be just friends with me, I just would not trust it. Like why be just friends with a taken girl when you can just go date a single girl?

  also you said that you are in a relationship too. I would not hangout with another girls boyfriend unless it is a group event. I just dont trust it either. I prefer to be aquaintences with guys not friends, if i see them then i will speak to them have small talk with them but im not going on a date or just hang out alone with some other guy who isn't my family members or my boyfriend. Even when i was single i would never hangout with another girls boyfriend. I wanted a boyfriend of my own so why would i try to spend a whole bunch of time with some other girls boyfriend when i can just go meet a single guy.

  Well I know what I have done, I invited her to breakfast, which to me is very normal... I know my intentions... So I don't really care... I was being nice... Whatever... I hang out with a lot of girls... I'm ok with that and so is my gf, she knows me well and trusts me... Thanks for answering.

  I really do not think it is a big deal. Your relationship should be more important to you than some other girl. Like seriously if i noticed that my boyfirend was being all buddy buddy and acting all concerend about what some other girl thinks of him, then i would not trust the situation at all. If she is serious about her relationship then im sure she feels that her relationship is more important to her than you. You can still speak to her when you see her but i really would not try to force a friendship on her or expect her to see you as a friend. If she is like me then she will continue to only think of you as just an aquaintence who she comes in contact with every now and then and nothing more.

  Really well I am friends with my friend Floyd and his girlfriend Kelley H. Trust me around him. I am friends with Kelley H. To I am happy for Floyd now , but I was kind of jealous these was before I became friends with Kelley , at first I didn't. Like one. 1: I felt like I still had feelings for Floyd S. And 2 : I want to be with Floyd. But you know what I noticed that my friend Floyd was happy with her , yeah still a little jealous then , but what made me realize what matter was how happy Floyd was to be with her , and Kelley was happy and one of Floyd ex gilrfriends kind of told Kelley I was going to steal Floyd away from her ( I was thinking it , ) but I couldn't after I say them together , I forever made a promise to Kelley that I well never every try to take Floyd was from her. And Kelley was like oh I know you wouldn't take Floyd away from me. I have kept that promise.

  Oh no I'm not forcing, I don't care either... I was wondering because it was a strange thing... It never happened to me before. That's how I deal with my friends, we don't much care about money, one of us picks up the check every time, the point is having fun or whatever (girls and guys) so gender, money, relationship... Etc. is not involved... The point is having fun together... She is a very nice girl and a good person... So I thought she would make a good friend... I asked the questions because i was wondering what goes thro a girls mind in that situation... In a guys case that would be "cool free food !!! " lol and he would join me happily !!! And have a nice breakfast and talk... But girls are more complicated... They assume things... They think too much...

my xp with girls they are emotional and leave themselves vulnerable and open to get deeply effected much of the time and they do get deeply effected and scarred by past experiences... thats why strong optimistic girls are better and harder to find imo.

Just because one girl got offended easily doesn't mean all of us do that's a bit illogical haha. Maybe she was embarrassed or something because she had no money, maybe she was embarrassed because you caught her nodding off, who knows? I bet she was just grumpy because she was tired lots of people would react the same way because they don't feel like being social when they are exhausted.

she was an idiot for getting offended for that haha I've seen a lot of girls that are easily offended (im not one of them.. at least i dont think i am!) but i think a lot of girls are just plain bitches. not to mention your friend didn't get much sleep that night so she was probably really irritable and not thinking straight. but who knows. i dont even understand girls and i am one hahaha

  no, he clearly said the he is in a relationship, and she is in a relationship. She probably felt uncomfortable. I would feel uncomfortable too if i told a guy that i have a boyfreind yet he is asking me out on a breakfast date, im sure my boyfriend would not apreciate other guys taking me out to eat and paying for it too.
