Why does it seem like most women enjoy talking to me EXCEPT the one im interested in?

It seems that i can talk to most women i meet and they get all giggly or flirty. Im not a "player" or anything, its just my jokey and relaxed attitude that makes them comfortable i guess. This girl i like is nothing like them, we can talk and joke, sure, but she never seems relaxed around me :/. When we are having a conversation she seems ok, we go back and forth and have pleasant convos. However when the conversation makes a turn for the jokey and sarcastic, she clams up. She still talks to me but she seems nervous. She respond to my sarcasm and teases me, but she is not relaxed. I dont think she has EVER laughed once when i talk to her, she smiles and looks away and even when she does crack up, she tells me its because im lame.

I just dont get it, she comes up to me and says hello and will initiate, but if she is gonna get like this, why even bother? The thing is that since i can't get her to laugh or be relaxed, its like all those other girls dont even exist. When she gets all nervous and can't get her to smile, i just stop joking around with everybody because i think there's something wrong with me. I dont go around just cracking jokes either, im just being me and its not until i dont say a word that she will start talking to me, but God knows why. Have any of you girls acted like this and if so, why?

don't be ridiculous. she simply doesn't trust you and is still trying to get comfortable around you. how do I know, cause i am the same way. i freak out and get nervous when the guy i like doesn't initiate contact and will actually think he is mad at me or some stupid shit. she has been burned in the past and has learned to conceal her true feelings. you need to get to know her one on one this should help. she may be an introvert but im not sure.

She is a bit on the shy side. I mean, she is friendly to people and chatty but not an extrovert by any means. She just acts differently around me. I guess we dont have to talk ALL the time, but i just love to try and make her laugh and he giving me that coy smile/look and the looking away. I just wish she was more open with me, because we have fun talking to each othet.

Well from what I can gather of everything you have said, it does sound like she likes you. Like I said make it more personal, ask her out for coffee or something this should help her get comfortable around you.

Hmm I might be wrong but maybe since you like her you act or speak differently and she feels the tension. I dont know if im explaining myself.

I guess that makes sense. Its just hard to maintain a balance. If i talk she gets like this and if i dont, she thinks im mad at her which im not! I just dont like seeing her all nervous :/
