Why do girls like skinny guys with abs more than bigger guys?

I am certainly not fat, but I dont have abs either. I get most of my attention through my facial features, but I see skinny guys with abs getting more attention than built guys like me. I am only a little more than 20% fat and to a few I have met that is perfect. However like I said, the skinnier guys still get more attention :/

Women seem to think that buff guys are more attractive than those who aren't, whether they be "fat" or not. I don't find "skinny" guys to be very attractive. Mainly those who have some muscle and are somewhat heavy built; just a broad frame a strong arms :-)
(That's just describing my guy. Anything sorta like that is what most women usually seek (not counting stereotypes))

I am pretty solid frame wise. Broad up in the shoulders/chest area, dont have abs but im not fat at all either

Sounds good, then. I'm not like a lot of girls who like abs and muscles and huge legs and all that jazz. A guy in pretty ok shape is fine with me.

Personally; I think abs are a turn off for me ; I rather have a guy who i s bigger then me for many reasons. first off, when we cuddle it is more comfortable then laying with rock hard abs ; and 2nd I like the way he makes me feel protected when he hugs me ; or when he stands with me because no one will mess with him compared to someone skinner then me.

Its really just a matter of preference, i mean I'm into people that are bigger than me because it makes me feel more safe. Girls probably like the more fit because, its attractive to the rest of the world. I mean would you like a fat chick or a skinny chick? Its all just an opinion

Bigger guys look intimidating and heavy, most girls like guys that are a little light weight, it makes them look active and healthy. Besides, girls like abs as much as we like features about them.

I don't really give that much of a shit about physique, it doesn't really have any bearing on who I date.

That being said, I prefer guys who aren't skinny. But I've dated skinny guys and it's not like them being skinny bothered me or ended the relationship.

I don't think it's as big of a deal as you think it is.

I know, to me, skinny guys are not very attractive. Im not super picky on looks, but id prefer a guy a little overweight to one that is underweight if I had to choose. Plus, I like feeling small, and a skinny dude just wouldn't feel right. You can be big and have 'abs', that's fine. But a skinny guy with abs is not very hot - just looks emaciated in some cases.
