Girls: I get hard sometimes when I cuddle with a female friend, but she doesn't pull away from me. Is this a sign she sees me as more than a friend?

A female friend of mine sometimes cuddles with me when we're watching movies. Sometimes I get hard when we're cuddling (either randomly or because of her body) and I know she can feel it. The thing is, though, she doesn't pull away from me like I would expect. I got really embarrassed the first time it happened, but she never said a word about it.

I don't know how to interpret this. A male friend of mine told me it means she likes me, but another female friend told me that it doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Touch is my top love language, so I hug everyone. I have a lot of close guy friends and I cuddle with the single ones sometimes while watching movies. I am a woman, he's a man and spooning can lead to hard-ons. Of course I notice, but it doesn't really make me uncomfortable. It's natural. It happens. Moving because he got a temporary boner would just make it awkward. I wouldn't do anything but ignore it. If I'm interested in a guy and that happens, I'd prob move closer, press myself closer. But that's just me. Her not responding to you getting hard most likely means she doesn't mind. But I think if she were into it, she'd make some sort of a move, especially since its happened more than once

For me if I was cuddling and a guy got hard I'd stay there if I liked the guy I may even show a sign to mood forward. If I wasn't interested I don't think I'd be cuddling in the first place.

If you are spooning the girl would probably pull away if you didn't get hard. Some girls just like the confidence boost that they can turn a guy on by just laying with him.

It doesn't mean much that she deals with your boner, it means more that she cuddles at all.

Unless she's the flirty type of girl who hugs everyone and seeks attention from guys, I'm pretty sure "cuddly female friend" may have a thing for you :)
The fact that she stayed there when you got hard, shows that it didn't bother her. Had she just hugged you for the sake of hugging someone, she definitely would've pulled away (from disgust or embarrassment).

She for whatever reason likes the attention and enjoys your company. On some level she's not repulsed by your sexuality bevsuse she likes to be close to you and dosent mind you when you're hard.

Even with all that it does not necessarily mean she wants to take it further. You could test the waters (which could ruin things) and try holding her waist or stroking her arm etc. (do things that would make you closer) Just see how she responds to all that.

It's so a far stretch to say she's didn't feel it/chose not to notice. But for me if I'm cuddling properly, I'm aware of it.

I think she likes you, but wants you to make the first move. Most girls do not want to make the first move. I would not cuddle with a guy unless I liked him. I would not kiss her just yet. Try running your fingers through her hair or perhaps take her hand and lightly caress it with your fingers. If she doesn't pull away after that, move in for the kiss, but do not go full make out mode unless she prompts you for more.

I cuddle thing my guy friends too or sit on their laps or something and they get a stiffy too sometimes, but I don't mind. I don't like them more than a friend and I'm sure they don't like me either as more than a friend. It just happends sometimes that guys get a stiffy and that's okay. I think your friend thinks the same about it. Otherwise, she doesn't feel it. It's not that easy to feel, even though guys always think that.

Personally, the first time that it happened, I wouldn't say anything about it because I wouldn't want to make a scene or embarrass you. However, I probably wouldn't cuddle with you again if that happened and I wasn't interested in you.

In my opinion, if it has happened on more than one occasion, and she really did notice it, then she probably does have a thing for you. Because if she noticed it the first time and didn't like it, then she wouldn't have cuddled with you again. And you know, she's cuddling with you in the first place. If she's cuddling with you, it means that she's obviously comfortable with you in her personal space and that she finds you attractive and likes you. she wants to move things forward. If you like her too, dont try to suddenly move things forward by trying to kiss her, she may be a bit confused herself about how she feels towards you. Get her flowers next time :)
