So we've been friends since the summer and about 2-3 months ago she broke up with her boyfriend. I wanted to keep things slow with her since she just got out of a 2 year relationship so I didn't ask her out right away. She told me about this guy she was talking to. One night while we were driving, she got a call from her friend saying he's been talking to other girls. She was crying and I tried comforting her because she was clearly heart broken. When we got out of the car she hugged me and thanked me for being a good friend.
The other day we went to a football game and on the way out she held my hand and put her arm through my arm the way you walk down the isle at a wedding sort of. We had our friend who came to the game with us drive so we were both in the backseat. I put my arm around the back of our seat and out of no where she slid over and put her head on my chest. So I immediately put my arm around her shoulder and started rubbing her arm with my thumb. After a few minutes of that she grabbed my arm and put my hand between her stomach and hip and locked my arm there with hers. Afterwords when we dropped her off she asked me if I was ok to drive and asked me to come in bc we drank a little bit at the game. She made me a grilled cheese and gave me water. Only reason I didn't ask her out is because after about 30 minutes of cuddling in the car she found out someone she knew somewhat well shot himself and I didn't think it was a good time.
