or is it offputting? like he straight up tells you he likes you and why, like your personality traits he likes. I've heard girls say theyd love a guy who would do that but I've also heard guys say not to and it could make you less intriguing/appealing compared to the other guys who are trying to get at her, who aren't as direct, so its more of a mystery to her, or some sh*t

Ugh. I wish guys were like that. It would be so much easier. My boyfriend and I didn't flat out tell each other we liked each other. Instead when we were hanging out one day we were just really close to each other and then somehow his arm went over my shoulder and by the end of the night we were cuddling and holding hands/playing with each others hands and then we talked about going out. Lol, it would have been much easier to say that we liked each other from the start. Although it was kind of romantic the way it happened too.
