If a girl stands up for you does that mean she likes you?

There's this girl that I've like for about a year and a half now and she used to do things things like play with my hair, stalk me on Facebook, etc., but lately we only say hey to each other in the hallway. She still smiles all the time though, anyway, today my friend came up to me at lunch and we started talking about this class that he had to make up online or whatever and all of the sudden I feel someone trip over my foot. So I turned around to see who it was and it was her. She was then listening to our conversation and my friend asked me what class I had that block (I switched out earlier in the semester) and I told him choir. So he jokingly said why would take choir? why not just TA for someone? Then she jumped in and was like " Choir looks better for a college application than being a TA for a class. Maybe he wants to actually do something with his life." and then she looked at me smiled

If a girl stands up for you on a opinion it doesn't really mean she likes you. It means she has the same opinion. But, with the other stuff I think she may like you.
