No, it just means that you aren't a match for her. A guy could be a tall, handsome, athlete, who loves surfing and roller-blading and he wouldn't be my type. My type is super-intelligent, going to museums and the symphony type. And I wouldn't be the type for someone who's looking for a bubbly girl to play volleyball with. I'm great for the guy who wants to have long talks about history or science. All of these types can be really good and desireable people. It just means you aren't a match. Sometimes, I've heard guys and girls say this in regard to appearance issues alone. What they are really saying is that the way a person looks is a very important factor for them, that they have a large emphasis on physical factors. They can be REALLY specific in what they want sometimes! I wouldn't feel bad about that either, because (for me at least) someone who has that as such an important value to them isn't a good match for ME! (Even if I match the description of what they want.) Bottom line, she said it in a poor way, and of course rejection feels bad, but I'd take it for what it is, and not beat yourself up about it. You really don't want to be with someone who doesn't find you the man of her dreams, and somewhere out there is a woman who will think you are the man of her dreams.

I was with someone for 2 years before I popped the question. We were married for 4 years technically. We had a house, things we wanted my business I owned was thriving and I hit s bad patch which I had to close the doors. My wife at the time wasn't supportive, her family talked bad about me and she allowed it to occur. The morning after Thanksgiving I received a phone call saying she's done and wants a divorce. I never saw it coming. She said I wasn't her type anymore. I caught her before leaving with her things and she kissed me saying don't think anything of this kiss and I'm taking the dog. I need to think about things and I promise to bring him back. That was the last time I saw them.

Divorce costed $30k or so plus both of us losing our home etc.

If a women says I'm not her type I get it. It can mean anything including financial which was my case.

I'm now successful again with another business doing better than ever!

She saved you a lot of time - now you can move on to the next giel who will be delighted to date you. So DO NOT be down! Not everyone is going to want to date everyone who asks.

gosh no! the word 'type' is soooooooo broad that it could mean just about ANYTHING. type is not only about physical appearance, you know ;)

It just means you are not that particular girl's type. It doesn't even have to mean physical appearance. There are tons of guys that aren't my type that are still attractive.
