Why do girls like to be dominated?

I would say that the vast majority of females that I have come across have liked to be dominated.

Depends what kind of domination we're talking about. If it's domination where sex is concerned, I think anyone in to domination - man or woman - likes it because it makes them feel like someone wants them so bad they are willing to throw them on the bed and have their way with them because they can't hold back. There is also a bizarre sense of power the other person has being dominated as they feel they have done something or look a certain way to trigger that sort of reaction. If you're talking about domination in the relationship in general, I have no idea what it's like because I have equal say with my husband and we run our household harmoniously together by taking the lead at different times when the situation calls for it. From what I've heard, some people do like to be dominated this way if they have stressful jobs where they have total power, such as working in the military or do police work, and just want to come home and have all of that power given to someone else.

Hardly. And I wouldn't say "fight" is the right word. We'll have disagreements and get in a brief bad mood over things but we just aren't that kind of couple. Those times are few and far between. We very quickly snap out of anything where in my past a hurtful argument would have otherwise erupted.

In order to feel comfortable with a sub/dom relationship there has to be a lot of mutual trust. Also, i can see where being dominated might make someone feel protected.

Generally i think trust and security are aspects all people look for in a relationship.

Well if you don't get aroused by being dominated then you could always try it but it might not be to your liking if you're not into that sort of thing. You could find that you really enjoy it though. Just make sure whoever you do it with that you trust them.

I think it's because back in the 'good old days' before civilisation, when mankind was first evolving into what we are today, women sought the strongest man as a mate so he could provide for them and look after their offspring. You see it all the time in other species (and we're no different than other animals, just more complicated, selfish and determined). Therefore they like strength and power in a man and this is communicated when he dominates them. They're attracted to a dominant man because evolution has hardwired them so that they find power attractive.
