I never understood this because well the truth is that girls hate it if the guy is abusive BUT they like being choked (lightly), gagged, bonded, spanked etc. in the bedroom.

I assume girls are like this cause of some sort of protection factor where if the guy is strong enough to man handle them, they feel like he can protect them... is that why?

I personally enjoy being dominated myself. I like having my guy order me around and get a little rough. I grew up in a strict household, followed the rules daily, and even went to a strict school. All my life i have been told what to do, when i'm allowed to do something, and never once did I get a reward from it.

There's a fine line between abuse and the type of dominance you're describing. Dominance in the bedroom--even if that dominance is expressed through roughness--is not considered abuse because there's a consensual exchange of power. Of course, not all women like to be dominated (I, myself, would prefer to have control in the bedroom), but for some, relinquishing that control and being overpowered is pleasurable. It could be because of the whole "letting go" aspect, which is kind of a mental relief. Or it could stem from an evolutionary reason: Dominance is often associated with masculinity, and masculinity is attractive for reasons stemming from the principles of natural selection--the bigger, stronger creature is the one with the quality genes and succeeds in passing on those genes.
