Why do some girls like dominant guys?

I get intimidated and somewhat afraid of dominant guys because I'm extremely petit compared to their size and attitude.

Evolutionary reasons, as the dominant male would be the archetypal 'alpha male' which the females would sought after as they would generally have the best genes which would prove the best for offspring. Subconsciously in a lot of girls this notion is still there, hence why girls go for them.

Your taste are simply an outlier ...for every girl like you, there are 7 who prefer a "dominant take-the-lead" type of guy.

Because they're sexy and masculine. I damn sure do not want a submissive guy, or a guy who's like "whatever you want to do" with no sense of leadership and dominance. Those type of guys get friend zoned by me

Some girls like a guy who is in control, confident, and so on. But a lot of the times girls mistaken their cocky attitude as confidence. A guy who is in control of his life, is confident, and so on, knows how to treat a woman right.

I don't know. I guess they just like being controlled, at least sometimes. Personally, I'm kind of neutral, not really dominant or submissive.
