She blushes when she talks about me apparently, and says hi to me whenever we see each other. Always interested in convos with me and playfully hits me sometimes, and just overall seem to be into me. Just recently, my friend told her and all her friends that I like her. Instead of her freaking out and making things awkward with me, she talks to me like nothing happened, still the usual self except when I touched her on the shoulder, she sort of ran away from me and cut the convo short. My friend tells me she said "I don't know how I feel about him, we're friends", but another friend is telling me to ask her out. People are saying one thing while others are saying another. I don't know what to do I'm so confused rn. Please can someone help me. Thanks.

She clearly likes you and it is good that she does not play it down when others hint at you two liking eachother.
Why she ran away. She is not quite sure if you like her the same way that she likes you. So in some instances she would act all weird trying to avoid anything that could blow her cover.
For example: my crush, her friend and me were hanging out. At one point her friend says that I do some things just because my crush is (so basically she was hinting at me liking my crush).
At that point, my crush simply acted like something shocked her (literally) and she then took off. The weirdest strangest thing, but I realized what it was. She wanted to somehow hide her feelings from others, so trying to censor her reactions, she was actually making it worse and act strange.
You should actually make innuendos that you like her, joke about it. If others hint that you like her, DO NOT play it down as you will hurt her confidence and confuse her.

Don't worry about what others are saying, if you like her, tell her. If she's shy she may not know how to express herself, keep that in mind.

First of all, she seems shy, so go slowly anyway. Secondly, she sounds like she likes you, so don't give up. However, there is a big difference between liking someone and wanting to be in a relationship with them. At this point, my guess is that she likes you but hasn't been brave enough to admit it to herself yet. So asking her out now might scare her off. What you want to do is step up the friendship. Be there for her more, hang out more etc. You want to make her feel safe with you. Don't worry about giving her the wrong impression... She already knows that you like her, so if you are just extra friendly, but no pressure for a relationship, she can decide when she's comfortable to take the next step.

From her friend (also my friend). She said it in front of everyone. Didn't respond negatively. Everyone knows now though, but she doesn't deny anything. But she did say that "we're friends cus she doesn't know" when they legit talked privately.

She might not be certain if u really like her. To others it would be obvious but shy people want to be sure before they make the next move. Telling her yourself will be concrete evidence that she can't overlook. After she knows for certain, she then needs to decide how she truly feels about you. I thought she was comfortable around me. this was after the rumour was spread. Also, she told her friend that she sees me as a friend but doesn't know apparently, so I'm not necessarily friendzoned even if she says we're friends to her friend"? Thanks

Just be honest tell her how you feel girls like honesty and the worst thing that could happen is she doesn't like you back and its not that bad
