We're just friends but we act like a couple?

I've known this girl for about 6-7 months. Texted a lot and we became good friends. But it always feels like it's more than friends. There's a bit of flirting, lots of playful banter, teasing, and we have countless amounts of inside jokes that no one understands. She's mentioned that we're friends during this time and I also started to have a crush on another girl and even asked her for advice. But things didn't work out with me and my crush so I quickly moved on. Now we're even closer I feel like and everyone thinks we're a couple, but at the end of the day, our answer would be "No, we're just friends"...

I've also been on a couple of "dates" with her, except were they really just dates?

What do you guys think. What's going on here and what do you think she feels because I honestly don't know myself whether or not I like her...

I used to be best friends with this one guy when I was still married to my ex husband, and people always thought we were together, even when my husband was out with us. In fact, one time we were at a party, and someone asked my friend if he knew his girlfriend was cheating on him because they saw me kissing my husband! Me and that guys aren't friends anymore. Ever since he gotten with his girlfriend, he's changed and gotten cold towards me. We did try dating, it didn't work for us, and we resumed our friendship as if "us" never happened. I really think he's changed because of her. But my point is, girls and guys CAN be "just friends" and best friends is a whole new level that rivals soulmates in my opinion. Your best friend is as much a part of you as your other half, whenever you do find that special someone. If you don't "know" you have deeper feelings for her, don't question it and just enjoy the friendship for what it is :)
