Short story: Reconnected with Ex...he says he wants to be just friends but we hang out more and go on dates. Like movies and concerts. We kiss hug and cuddle. We have sex but we both decided to stop since it complicates things. Since then we are still cool and text and flirt...Whats the deal? Does he really just want to remain friends or is he testing the waters to see if we have potential. Oh and also we both got invited to go to vegas with MY friends I had no idea he was going until he mentiioned it to me yesterday and then he asked if I would want to go with him...of course I said yes but what's his deal than ...

We have bee dating off/on/off for about 1 1/2 already...During our breakup we have both dated and when he found out if was moving on and he saw me with my new beau he went nuts. We have been "hanging out" since May...so far we have not argued or touched the subject of us getting back together. He made it clear he doesn't want a commitment but yet he treats me like his girlfriend at times.

Honestly, I think he is testing the waters. He is scared..because you are his ex...and is afraid of your relationship failing again. Stopping the sex is a good thing. Are you both exclusive? If so, then likeI said, I think he is "testing" the waters as you say. Good luck...id stick it out with him..and if anything..talk to him about it. Communication is Key! xx

No we are not exclusive.We broke up in September and tried the off/on/off until about February...then we stopped talkingg...may came around & I was dating someone else and he heard he flipped out...we have since then been hanging out but he said he doenst want a commitment but yet all our freinds know we are still hanging out...Im patient with him...he' s not a talker...like any guys is right?

haha yeah..most guys don't like to open up and communicate. But, you have to get it out of them somehow. Well, if it were me, I would have a talk with him. And tell him that I want to be exclusive with each other. If we are going to act like Boyfriend & Girlfriend then I would want to at least be exclusive even if we aren't official. It souds like he wants to be your BF, but is still a bit unsure..for some reason he is unsure. But, I think sticking it out with him is a good thing. But, not forever.

I'm going through the exact same situation with my ex girlfriend... she broke it off 4 months ago we still live together have sex once in a while go out together have wonderful times together but... we're not together I want her back cause I still live her very much aND I still think I'd like to marry her.. she just won't come back.. I know she's also sleeping with this other guy but he's not available he has a girlfriend... she has no clue that he's cheating on her... I feel like being a little devil sometimes and let her in on his little secret

Eiffelgirl21: Yes sex was making thinks complicated so we stopped, He said that didn't make him happy and sometimes we do get worked up but he always stops before we take it too far...Now he's more affectionate...which I like..he seems more relaxed there is no pressure
