Girls, I accidentally caused serious injury to my brother. What can I do to make things at home alright again?

He has been learning to box recently and always challenges me to box with him, but I was in a bad mood a week ago and did not want to become his punching bag again so I did something my friend in school had told me to do which was to kick his nuts.
I do not know what happened next, but he laid down and cried even though it was just a light kick. I thought he was just pretending, but when our mother saw him she took him to the doctor because he wouldn't stop crying. I think he was injured quite seriously, because he spent a week at the hospital, and when he came back he could not walk for a couple of days.
Now, my whole family refuses to speak to me, and I am not allowed to go near him because they are afraid I will hurt him again.
I am very confused, what happened to him after I kicked him "there"? Why did he have to go to the hospital and why can't he walk? Is it possible that he cannot make babies because of it? (My friend who told me to do it said it was likely)
What should I do to make things at home better again?

And before I kicked him, I even warned him not to make me angry but he still did which was why I kicked him there!!

If you kick a guy 'there', even if you think it's just a light kick, then there's the possibility that you could rupture one of his testicles - this is basically where the testicle gets crushed and there's blood in the scrotum. Surgery would be needed to repair it. Trauma to the testicles can potentially lead to a loss or a lower rate of fertility. All you can do is keep apologising, make them realise that you're really sorry, and try and do your best to help out.

Testicles are extremely fragile. They're only protected by a thin layer of skin and they're outside the body, so yes, they can be very easily damaged and trauma to them could be life-changing for the guy. It doesn't necessarily mean that he can't have children, it depends on how severe the damage is, but in worst case scenarios, yes, that can happen. And right now, it's not really your side of the story that they need to listen to, their priority is helping your brother get better.

It's life changing in that, if the damage was very severe, he might not be able to produce children - and if he wanted to have kids in the future, that could be really devastating for him. As I said, that's worst case scenario, he might be lucky and might not have been hurt to that extent. The chances are that he will make a full recovery, it'll just take a little time. And don't be sorry about asking questions, it's good that you're concerned :)

It's a lot of pain. If you kick a girl there, then it's not as bad, but kicking a guy is like 10 times as much because everything there is external. There's arguments that kicking a guy there can rival the pain of childbirth (which I'm not sure I believe, but that just shows how painful they consider it to be). There's also the chance that it can cause a rush of adrenaline that can potentially lead to a heart attack.

It'd be at what stage they are in development. Puberty can make things sore and tender (in girls it's usually hip pain and breast tenderness) and if he's already feeling sore down there, it might make it feel worse.

Yeah, around 14 you're still going through puberty, so it could still be sore sometimes. And yes, having a testicle removed can be the result of trauma there, so it's not really too surprising that that happened.
