Do girls take off bras in the school locker rooms?

Just wondering? I'm starting having to change for gym at school, but if I wear a bra that day, should I take it off for gym and activities in front of other girls? They encourage us to embrace our 'changing' bodies, so we don't have stalls to change. I'm fine with that I guess after a while I'll get used to it probably, but do other girls take off their bras for class? Like what I'm saying is, is it weird if I show my "developing buds" to other girls? And not wear a bra to gym?

When I was in gym, some girls changed into a sports bra while some girls just kept the same one on. When girls changed their bras they would turn to face the lockers so they wouldn't flash anyone, but they were still fine changing in front of the other girls. Also how old are you? You sound like you are in middle school. I would recommend wearing a bra to gym; if you don't want to take off your bra in gym then just wear the one you wore to school (unless you sweat a lot, then you might not want to do this).

I'm in seventh grade. I just started wearing a bra, my stepdad got me one about a week ago, so I take it off for gy because I wear a tank top

I think you should wear a bra to gym. In 6th grade some girls didn't wear bras, but the older you get the more awkward it is if you don't wear a bra (by high school it is extremely weird if you don't wear one). I don't sweat much at all, so I just wore the same bra to gym (because we hardly did anything anyway).

Haha lol whatever, so my question is... well I'll tell u some background info- my dad passed, so my mom married my stepdad but got cancer and passed, so now it's me but my stepdad is awesome and so r my two stepbrothers, who r twins and in my grade coincidently! Well this year I worked up the courage to ask for a bra, so he got me a training bra. He told me to tell him when I get my period so he can help me. (He gave me the talk w my step brothers) well, yesterday I got it, and I was gonna tell him, but my step brothers were talking to my dad about a girl in our grade who also got hers and they were laughing about it, and now I'm scared. I don't want them to make fun of me, I asked for a bra in private, but they got dragged along to get one, so I'm already embarrassed by that.. plus they're friends w the guy I like so I don't want them to tell him!

Some does, some don't. depends if you are comfortable with it. I've studied in exclusive school, i rarely see someone go braless. I'm more surprise when girls change easily in classrooms. While, in co-ed school, some of girls do change and take a shower (in a closed shower room) with no clothes at all. ironic, haha.

If you'd like, you can change with a towel to cover after or better buy a towel with a garter so you could change easily without the problem of them seeing yours.

I was in theatre. Used the green room. Sometimes I had to do quick changes. Just changed I front of everyone because their was not enough time. It was no big deal because it is for a reason. Nothing sexual about it. Plus half the guys where gay. Only one guy checked me out, and I caught him. He was so embarrassed after that he never spoke to me again.

Bra straps are nothing special... just the same as spaghetti straps. You'll get used to it. It would be weirder to go braless

Thanks for MHO and it would be weird because the purpose of a bra is to control and support your boobs... you want it most when working out. @jacquesvol

I always seen the bra straps of girls at my school during P. E. and I'm not saying I stare, but there's no fuss with anyone so I don't think its a problem to wear the bra.

If you already wear a bra, then keep it on for PE.
In fact the reason many girls start to wear a crop-top or bra in the first place is so they don't have to show their developing 'buds' when changing for PE.

When I was at secondary school many years ago, we had to undress completely to have a shower after PE, but I doubt if that happens in many schools nowadays.

Yes, most girls wear a normal bra to school so you have to change to a sports bra. At our school it’s actually required.

I personally would just in case, a girl at my middle school didn't wear one one day and we got flashed pretty bad so id do it for protection
