Because our vaginas, uterus, and back hurt and our hormones are literally off the charts. For me, I don't get mad, I get sad and emotional and I feel ugly but I want to cuddle but don't touch me I feel gross.
It's basically just a flippin' mess of hormones and ouch so we kind of lose our minds.
We actually feel it. There are some days I will just be so mad and angry at the world that I can tell I am not a pleasant person to be around at the time. I realize then that I am getting my period so I normally just spend that day alone with a book because I don't want to rip someone's head off just because I can feel how ugly I am being.
Because in my personal experience like I can get sad really easy or angry really easy during that time of month. My hormones are just all over and my sugar levels are low and so I get cranky. And it's not an excuse it's a legit good reason because usually I'm never easy to make angry
I can still control it lol but if i get mad it's usually at friends who aren't even close to me. You know those friends that just judge you for no reason
It's no excuse all the time. Some girls might use it as an excuse, but I don't no any. Mostly because I hate liars. It's because of the hormones during the period. Every girl reacts different. Most girls I know are angry. I for example am depressed and want to cuddle.
I don't think women use periods as an 'excuse'. Some may, but not all. We as men, would never know what it is like to experience periods, so we can't really assume that they are using it as an excuse to behave the way they want.
Well... I dunno. I have heard that some women have it much worse than others. There is no sure way to know if they use it as an excuse. It's the same way how women will never come to know how much it hurts a man if he is kicked in the balls. So both genders here need to give the other gender the benefit of doubt, since they can't really know what happens.
A girl could get punched in the face really hard... same thing.
I think through biological research we do know what women are going through somewhat. I mean it's not like we're completely clueless. The education on it is out there. You can google the symptoms and why they are that way.
If while on their period they mistreat you, and then afterwards blame it on their period and expect you to get over your hurt feelings without them even apologizing then we know they are using it as an excuse. Our hormones does not give us the right to hurt or mistreat others. If we do something wrong, then we at least need to have the strength of character to say we are sorry and try to make it up to them. This is true for both genders.
It's because we don't particularly want to get our periods and when it comes it's literally so annoying. Like imagine always feeling stuff come out, wet and it sometimes smells... The blood. It's gross. Plus our tummies hurt. When I'm on my period my hubby puts me on a nice film and buys me snackies to snack on and it actually makes me feel loads better.
uh, not all women to start with. I defintely get over sensitive but it's before i get my period. PMS is Real dudes. It's our Personal me space. don't mess with it or we will bite :-) but at least we have an excuse, for those of us who are mean during this time of the month. What should we blame for men getting angry and even violent so often? Testosterone I guess? Who knows.
Pms : science has not even find yet médecine for that , it is à true condition , that can brought you to suicide , not lower Than that. I am writting à book on the subject at the moment that will be published. this is symptoms that are extremely sad and difficult to live with , it is not light subject. à lot of woman still dont know about this condition and feel guilty thinking they dont deal well with comparé to other girls and they feel ashamed thinking they are not normal.
Just wait for them being pregnant, you go through hell. I did, and to make it even worse, she miscarried our child, and guilt tripped me for being at fault. If i wasn't even devastated enough by the miscarriage so also had to throw me into a depression. So if you are complaining about a period. I would suggest going on a hike, take a tent with you and stay there for 4 days, why do you think vikings were raiding so often.
Some women might do that, but definitely not all of us. Periods affect us all differently, but most of us get cramps and physical pain. All people react differently to pain; some get grouchy, or quiet, or whiny, but most women don't do much unless it's unusually bad. "PMS" is an actual thing though. It only affects a small portion of women, but it causes mood swings due to hormones (it's kinda like how testosterone makes some guys aggressive, especially if they're on steroids).
Sometimes its being given as a reason not an excuse.
My angry period outbursts are usually private, I try not to take it out on anyone, but if someone happens to witness some of it I'll be like hey I'm sorry I'm period-raging.
But yeah some girls use it as a stupid excuse to be jackasses
Just a minor clarification, based on my pov: It's an excuse to -be- angry, but it's not an excuse to mistreat anyone. My hormones are all f*cked up on my period, so I can't help the irrational mood swings. I can, however, control the way I'm acting toward people. If I slip up and act like a jerk, I'll apologize without hiding behind my period as an excuse, because it simply isn't an excuse.
Not denying the fact that some girls ACTUALLY use that as an excuse to act like children/a bitch/whatever, but speaking from my personal experience I tend to have more trouble controlling my temper around that time of the month. I usually realize it a few days later and apologize. Well this post wasn't really a question in the beginning, it is more like a statement/complain post...
it's not necessarily an excuse.. there is a hormone in balance that causes mood shifts, so some women can't do much aside from try to not explode at people because they can't help it. on the other hand there are women who use it as excuse to be a bitch.
Honestly, I never say that I'm big bitch because Im on my period but I am very obnoxious and moody a day or two before they start and I never know when I start being cranky. As soon as they start I realise my behavior and stop and instead try being happy. But it just depends on the girl. I do believe it is our responsibility to try and keep calm. But sometimes it's just out of control. So, I'm sorry that you guys have to bear with us. And yes sometimes girls do use it as an excuse.
Maybe men should be more considerate of the hormonal and psychological changes as well as physical changes that happen to a woman during her cycle, but I also think women should be more considerate to the point you mentioned. I mean some women do seem to take what they are going through out on men.
It's not an excuse, it's just a mood- we sometimes know our periods are coming because our emotions are wild, some act calm whilst others do infact get angry. Just hormones.

Well wouldn't you be a bit irritable if you had your bloody organ lining shedding itself painfully from your dick?
Regardless, periods still aren't an excuse for, say, things like domestic abuse etc.

Oh and our boobs tend to hurt too so that sucks.

*attempts to annoy you to see how you react* ;3
That means you should take the initiative not to be around the ones you love during that "period".

Well I mean just because you haven't experienced it doesn't mean you can't see something as an excuse and it be correct.

Because it's a pretty legitimate exuse. We do get mood swings and can be more sensitive during that time of month.

I do not because my period makes me sad not angry lol
That is new, its the first time i'm hearing a girl say that.
@natzang lol it's common
