Because they're making a statement that they're not sexual objects.
But seriously, it's because they're showing off their body to attract males. That is the only reason. I don't care who she is or what she says. She's trying to attract a male. It's advertising, that's all. She's not dressing that way because it gives her "confidence" or because she "just likes it".
Those are the assertions I've heard from women. Nope. Don't buy it for a second. They're dressing scantily clad because they want guys to look at them and hit on them. Just not the wrong ones. Then some will get pissy if a guy they find undesirable is staring (not speaking from experience). It's enough to make me bang my head against the wall.
Do I notice... Do I notice women's bodies? Yes. Yes I do.
I was at the grocery store right. It was late at night. This girl walks up to me. Literally right up to me, bends over like she dropped something. Shortest shorts you've ever seen. I saw labia short. So she stays there for a second, right in front of me, ass in my face, then gets up, looks at me, turns around in a huff and walks off. Then she follows me around the store. I don't know what her deal was. Maybe she was trying to prove that males are sex crazed lunatics. Or maybe that was an exceedingly obvious way to try to pick me up. Or maybe my perception is just fucked to hell. But, talk about weird.
Point being, I stared at her ass. I did. Unabashedly, I stared at her ass. And I notice all the things other women are wearing, as well. I mean. Even if she's fully clothed in snowgear, I'd be staring at her facial features. That's just what humans do. Yes, I notice. And it is great. Don't take the yoga pants away from me. Don't do it. It is a wonderful gift.
I have no problem with it. In fact, it is beneficial to me that women walk around naked. You won't find any complaints here. Just so long as they don't mouth off and say "Don't look at your queen with those plebeian eyes. Avert them, mortal." Like, you're the one walking around with half your tits and ass hanging out.

To be blunt it is because a new type of feminist appeared, that started claiming women should be able to do those things without being judged. If a guy did want to speak out against it he would be accused of slut shaming, or trying to control women. This also means that the women that want to push the envelope can pretty much do what they want with no man willing to say anything about it.
If any woman tries to say anything about it then they try to twist it that women are suffering from internalized misogyny in order to gain support for their cause. This has allowed them to rewrite the standards of feminism. It has actually split the movement into different camps.
Now us guys just have to endure women complaining about how we are somehow responsible for the over sexualisation of women, that we aren't allowed to do anything to stop what women choose to dress like. While at the same time we get accused of trying to oppress women by the other group of women, for not letting them run around topless. Men really can't win with such vastly different interpretations of feminism.
Personally I don't really notice the way they dress anymore. I have seen so many women showing so much skin that it doesn't really stand out to me. I personally believe the more you see the body the more you desexualize it, and just make it part of normal life.
it's different from person to person to be honest. Like I tend to wear tight clothes and usually wear circle skirts or short shorts. In may case I do that because
1) I get hot very easily
2) I workout a lot and am very proud of my toned body
3) While I'm proud of my body, i'm also slightly insecure of my lack of curves and athletic frame so I want to create as many curves as possible and not drown in fabric.
For the majority though? It's probably validation seeking or they want to look "sexy" to help their self-esteem. Girls have issues feeling good about themselves so they go online and on social media and see a lot of garbage disguised as answers and then they (consciously or subconsciously) imitate that look and feel better for fitting the status quo of society aesthetics.
some women do show off too much (like wearing a see through bandeau without a bra and some booty shorts out in public, making your ass almost completely hang out) that is just tacky, but others just show somee skin (like some kind of lowcut tank top with some shorts that are an appropriate length) and i see nothing wrong with that. it does show that you are comfortable in your skin, and are comfortable with your sexuality. you aren't going to fully cover up just because someone thinks you look "slutty" showing all that leg. its your body, wear what you want, but at the same time we all need to have some self respect and not walk around with everything hanging out, wearing clothes that are a couple sizes too small. thats just unflattering.
Well in the beginning of time people were naked... I wonder if they thought the same as people started inventing new pieces of clothing to wear... And maybe some of them thought "why are people adding on so many layers on their body to cover it up?" :/ "I just saw a kid layered up to his knees and elbows, while hunting for breakfast, all I could see were his fingers and ankles. Why is this happening? What happened to not being ashamed of our bodies? an mi he only one noticing this?"
I wonder if they thought that 😛😜😁😁
I think some girls do this because they're plain insecure. They base they're whole world around feeling attractive to guys. And unfortunately, a slutty girl in public gets guys looks whether he actually wanted to look or not. Guys can't help it. And honestly it's so wrong for us girls to tempt them even more when they already struggle so much. Come on girls! Give guys a break. They don't appreciate you walking around in public in almost nothing, and if they do they certainly will never ever respect you!

It is to all about breeding... let me explain without someone jumping down my throat. Look at the female birds (Those with feathers) they are the beautiful one of there species. The male are the dullest. Why because the female wants to attract the male for breeding purpose. Lets take the human female and there is not much difference between her and the birds. She make's sure her hair is perfect. (which costs a fortune). Then spends about the same amount on make up and spends age's putting it on to make her self more attractive. Then comes her dress again she wants to attract a male and will show as much skin as possible. Ok you guys lets be honest here. If you saw a female walking down the street with her hair a mess not been brushed for a week. Dirty looking crabby clothes and looking a complete mess. Then you see a female who has put a lot of effort in making her self attractive and very sexy looking she is looking absolutely fantastic. Which one would you take to breed with? Ladies I mean no offence at all by suggesting your a breeding machine I only used that term to get my point over. ( Some how I think im going to get a load of abuse )
men convinced women that when she gets naked she become free , stronger and rebel , so that men can easily approach her thing
it became so usual , that men must accept seeing women skin in streets
on the other hand as u said , if a man showed his sexual parts in public he would seen as rude and disrespectful for women feelings
i think it destroys the society in many ways,
people tend to value their freedom more than responsibility which was a result of their freedom, women and many men too can't hold a family these days, relationships goal now is mainly sex, not emotions not kindness, mainly sex
i feel pity for next generations childrensure, women wear clothing that is much less conservative than what was seen as typical attire in the Victorian era with dresses that brought coverage head-to-toe, including long sleeves. I don't see what's wrong with showing some skin (in appropriate environments; not in a holy building or anything) so long as the girl who chose such attire doesn't complain about how she's treated/looked at as a 'sexual object'.
you should see them at the club... strapless tube tops (which they pull up every second) and skirts so tight and so short they'd need a hairnet if it were any shorter (which they try to pull down)... then they get mad that they get hit on a lot or get offered money for sex...
they dress like prostitutes, they get treated like prostitutes... period.I think it a form of insecurity. You are not happy from within and have to use sexy clothes. So that you can get attention and feel secure, and desired. Its an easy cop out that anybody can do. Its quite sad then they wonder why men, won't commit.
Lmao the other day at vons this girl walks in with her guy.. her shorts so shirt i coukd liteerrally see ass cheeks.. i was like daam. Had to look like shit dont blame me look what she's wearing ! I would never let my girlfriend go out like that... im srry call me n asshole machoman but fuk that.. u wanna b a hoe do it on ur own time ur gunna get me into ssom shit
I wish they would stop wearing so little. At highschool and college I have seen panties longer than some of the girls micro skirts/shorts. There is wearing what you want and then there is being slutty about it.
They can wear whatever the fuck they want, but dont be surpised when guys stare. Thats my thoughts on it.
I have always said... sometimes the wrapping is the best part! LOL I think it is awesome when a girl can wear something classy and not to provocative and still be uber sexy!
I dont know. I prefer modesty as well, but it's their choice. I just hope they don't expect me to take them seriously. I'm a judgmental bitch.
Things tend to pendulum. Women were oppressed for centuries now they are over doing it.
I don't know but I don't dress like that. I can be really sporting tomboy sometimes... lol or I wear whats comfortable!
I feel like girls are devaluing their worth by dressing provocatively. We have so much more to bring to the table than a big butt.
I don't like wearing clothes if that makes ya feel any better
Agreed! I mean, sure, they have the RIGHT to wear it! But it doesn't actually look that good lol in my opinion
It's not bad at all... personally I find it nice... ya know why eh?
I feel like yer being jealous about 'em coz they have a better body... and they're not being ashamed to show it off...Wear what want you want but don't cry when guys stare at you.
Let them be. Its their choice. There r several reasons y women wear what they want to wear.
Yes seen this.
I wear so much that nothing is visible except face and hands lolWhy do middle eastern women, cover up from head to toe?
