Why Do Women Love Complete Assholes, and Hate Nice Guys?

This Image Right here pretty much explains it all. I consider myself a gentle giant, 6'5" and I have always enjoyed women's company and respected them and pleasured them, even the one's I've paid for at the city brothels, and have deep conversations with them. Been told my face and height rivals %80 of all other men, and I stand out. BUT WHY do women avoid me like the plague? I seeked an answer for that question online and it turns out that the presence of nice guys like myself turns their vaginas into ancient egyptian pottery. "Oh I hate arseholes," they retort to me every time.

 Well they only "hate" arseholes "As muhc as I hate having my nipples polished wiht industrial sandpaper. HAHAHAHA."--[Hedonism bot, Futurama, Beast with a billion backs]. And the mene they always fall for are the opposite of gentle giants like myself: Napoleans: short, insecure, greedy, basically drug-crazed chihuahuas in human form. When one of these guys approach a woman, she finds her panties around her ankles, dripping wet before she can even say, "My name is..." Please gimme your opinion. Tell me there are girls out there who want gentle guys like myself.

First of all I think there is more to it than "this guy is an absolute evil person and this man is a saint... I think I'll pick satan." Let's start with the fact that pretty much no one is 100% good or bad. Next there is more to a person than the degree to which he is nice. There may be something else about you that turns women off, or you could be going after the wrong women for you.

Women place different values and are attracted to different things, and what we are attracted to changes with age. Also our own insecurities or confidences play into who we pick. An insecure woman may well pick the man who makes her feel the most special the fastest-regardless of red flags. When I was a teenager, for example a good sense of humor was a must. I wanted to laugh. Now that I'm older, a guy not driving is a turn off for me.

After my divorce from a guy who walked the fine line between abusive and not abusive, what I value is VASTLY different than--a guy who makes me laugh, makes me feel so special that I don't think he'll leave. After overcoming what I have I am more confident and more clear on what is important to me.

A couple months ago I started dating a man who treats me like a princess and is so thoughtful. He is more excited about my daughter than my daughter's father ever was and he is great with her. But now that I've grown up, learned what is important to me in a man and what I truly value, and have the confidence to go after what's important to me (and the patience to wait for a great man instead of jumping into relationships out of insecurities ) I think I've finally found someone who is truly compatible withe me (and he seems very happy about meeting me as well).

Hang in there, and keep being the nice guy. You are still young, the women you are meant for will find you, just be patient ;)

It's guys like you who are actually assholes but you convince yourself that you are #niceguys so that you can sleep at night, and you don't have to own up to your own flaws. I'm truly sick of it it;'s such a mark of immaturity that you think your personality issues are not your fault but every woman in the world's fault. I had an asshole and a sweet dorky guy after me in grade 12, you would probably say I chose the asshole because you don't understand logic. But no I chose the sweet dorky guy, also the asshole is rich and the kind guy is from a poor family but he treats me like a princess and now it's been almost 2 years with him. I haven't talked to the asshole guy since graduating because if I did I might end up beating him, so I need to just stay away from him because I hate him so much.

Most girls fall for a guy who they believe is a " nice" guy then as they get to know him they discover he's a total asshole. By the time they realise he's an asshole they have developed feelings for him so they find it difficult to let go, because they still cling onto the nice guy illusion he initially created to win her over.

I wouldn't date an asshole. I want a guy who is respectful towards me and who is nice to me and who considers my feelings... not a guy who is a total dick. I'd walk away from a guy who I thought was an asshole

It is evolution. Selfish men that put themselves first, have an evolutionary advantage over nice guys that put others first. By only being attracted to that type of guy, women are more likely to have selfish children that will share that same evolutionary advantage. There are even studies proving women are more attracted to guys that don't act nice to them, so it isn't even an unfair generalization.

Men on the other hand had no idea if the kids they were raising was really theirs, which is why men evolved to like nice girls that put him first. The more in love the woman was the less likely she was to cheat. Unfortunately society teaches men to act like women, as oppose to acting like strong men that value themselves, and put themselves first. Such traits are now what we call assholes.

Women, and history, prefer terrible, yet assertive and aggressive men over passive, good-hearted men. Julius Caesar didn't become Emperor of Rome by being nice; Genghis Khan didn't grow to rule half the world by being "nice"; Hannibal didn't slaughter the entire Roman army at Cannae by being nice; the Founding Fathers didn't fight off their imperial overlords by being nice.

When it comes to relationships, women, etc. the same principle applies. Like history, they instinctually and sexually prefer a horrible, yet assertive and masculine man over a good-hearted and sweet, yet passive man.

Why do you feel like you, of all people, are in a position to make universal claims as to who's a 'gentle giant' and who's not?
These girls obviously see something appealing in these guys that you're failing to do. Best just accept that they're simply not into you. The reason is irrelevant as it won't make luck go more in your favour.

They don't. It's an insurance policy. Girls go for guys who are assholes not because being an asshole is hot, but because if the guy is good looking, she can fuck him and get off without worrying about falling in love with him--the fact that he is an asshole means she has a de-facto breakup reason to fall back on.

Nice guys are too scary for hook-ups. Think about it, what if you hooked up with a really nice girl and got your rocks off, but then realized she wasn't right for you? You'd have to dump her. I did this once and she started crying. I felt bad because I hurt an otherwise nice girl. I didn't love her, I just loved her boobs. You're basically mad at girls for trying to do the right thing, just in a convoluted way.

You're probably thinking now that if you just act like an asshole you can get fun hook-ups too right? Wrong! You have to be hot for that, and if you were a hot guy you probably wouldn't need to bother with this site.

I think they like someone that is both. They hate the super nice shy guys, because they do not get far in life. You know the guys that never say a word or have fun. They like a guy that has power. However, they also want a guy that is there for them. A good balance between the two.

Do you attempt to generalize in this case?
Love is unpredictable, so women may fall in love and be head over heels with what you label as "assholes" and what you label as "nice". It's preferential, really.
