When women are in their mid 20's they tend to add things onto their list for men and start facting earning potential, his house, car and so forth. Whereas most girls in their early 20's were just fine witha guy being cute (attractive) and fun.
Now at the mid 20's mark its a prime time for a woman to get all these things met. She can find a guy in her mid 30's/early 30's who is already secure and after several years into a relationship pressure him into marriage. For girls who are late 20's desperation and baby rabies kicks in and they want to settle down. For a lot of men this is prime time to get with a woman who is much better looking than you that would not have even considered going out with you 6 years prior. However, what I don't get is why after the 32-33 mark and beyond women suddenly raise their standards back up far more than they did in their 20's and become even more pickier.
From the 30's mark a woman has list 90% of all her eggs and the ones remaining are not very good. Biologically she is near useless and should logically be lowering her standards and be grateful for any 1/2 decent guy that would take her at this point. Yet, so many women past the baby rabies and realization that their dream man they envision isn't coming decide to increase their standards in all traits and become very fussy daters.
Why do women raise their standards past 30 when realistically they don't have the bargaining chips to make demands of men anymore?

When a lot of women (straight) get to around 30, they want a guy they can rely on, isn't lazy, a potential father to any children they may have and financially stable. Men's sperm quality lowers with age too even if they have more sex cells than women. If a woman is financially stable and ready to settle down, why should she go for a man not as successful as her? Why settle for anything lower? When females and males are young (20 years old), they usually want to have fun without many responsibilities weighing them down so they're more likely to be okay with someone like that, fun to be around. Most people won't keep living the fun life and decide to have a job and think more long term. They work hard to earn a lot of money, some of which they will spend, some of which they will save. They may decide to have children and would want to have a stable job that would allow them to give their children what they need, but obviously single parenting is difficult although can be done without many problems, so you want someone who is financially stable like you to raise the child you have together. If you're settling with someone not as financially stable as you, you might as well be a single parent. Who needs or wants dead weight?
First off, I think you're getting confused between 30 and 50. A woman's fertility doesn't start to drop significantly until her mid 30s, so the idea that by 30 she only has a few low quality eggs left is completely false. Women can reproduce very successfully well into their 30s and beyond, so calm down about the baby stuff.
Second, as women age, their pool of potential partners is aging too. Women aren't the only ones who get older. As people age, their priorities change. They frequently focus more on stability and finances because they are looking to settle down, start families, or just leave behind the stress of being a young person living on ramen noodles. It only makes sense that a woman who is ready to settle down is going to seek a responsible, mature partner who is ready to settle down too, not some young wanderer who is going to be a mental, emotional, or financial drain. And this goes for both genders- at a certain age, men start looking for someone they can settle down with, too. And they're also going to have different standards than they did when they were younger.
One new study means almost nothing. Relax. But even if that does turn out to be true, the rest of what I said still holds- changing priorities are a natural part of aging, and men go through the same thing.

They get easier for sex but get very picky for commitment. Older women love fucking young guys but they'll never consider you a serious partner.

I think it's really sexist and ignorant to think women should lower or adjust their standards just to find some guy to use the last of the eggs she has, wtf. I'm only 25 and my standards have only gone up and for good reason, low standards get shitty men. If any man doesn't want to meet a certain standard or simply can't then I don't want that man. I will sacrifice any potential relationship if the man isn't what I'm after, because I'm secure enough and fufilled enough in my life not to settle for some what-have-you guy. I will maintain those standards as I get older, probably adding to them as I gain wisdom and experience. There's a difference between wanting a boyfriend and wanting a partner in life, and for a partner you want good quality.

We have standards just as men have their standards. Even you yourself mentioned women in their 20's criteria is cute men so that means cute is a standard for you. Also tons of women have babies in their 40's and kids are not the only thing in a relationship/marriage, there is so much more. Also have you considered it's not just the woman Than can be infertile?
I personally have higher standards now because I've worked hard to achieve what I have. What I want is an equal to share my life with not someone I have to provide for. Both parties need to contribute, if I just wanted babies I could just use a sperm doner and not get myself stuck with a looser!

My mom had me at 34 and my brother at 38 and there's neither of us are mentally or physically impaired. Also more common for women to freeze their eggs now as the technology evolves, so that "clock" will soon become irrelevant.
Anyways, to answer your question, it's exactly BECAUSE they have their shit together, that they're looking for a partner who also has his shit together. If I'm successful with my own house and car and job and all that jazz, I want a guy who can at least match my level of success or more.

Seriously dude? My mom had me in her thirties and I turned out fine. I actually was supposed to die several times but I am still here and perfectly fine. No woman is ever biologically useless. There are women who are in their 50s, 60s or beyond who are having healthy children. They are allowed to have however high standards they want. They are not only good looking, but they now have their shit together and careers. Now they get even more men than when they were in their 20s. A woman can still have babies until she hits menopause. I know women who conceived in their 40s And if you're just looking for a baby maker, then maybe you don't care much about falling in love and maybe you should just find a baby mama instead.

Women past 30 who have higher expectations should make sure they themselves are in a position to reciprocate what it is they want or are receiving, but your argument is flawed why? because all women are different and age actually has nothing to do with it there are also women in their 20's who want exactly what you have described about the woman in her 30's, so it all depends on the woman the individual at the end of the day.

All women aren't the same true but they do tend to follow a very simple pattern:
20-24: Party phase, Sleep with guys who are hot and/or fun (could be younger guys, older men) 25-26: Still party a bit but now has a job and worry about responsibilities. Starts factoring income, wealth, money and so forth. Looks still important. More girls in this age group willing to date men older than them than those in the earlier years.
27-29: Baby rabies, commitment. Start pressure her man into marrying her. Many women who had high standards/bad relationship luck now start taking notice and giving guys who won't the best looking but have gotten decent jobs, place, car a chance.
30-31: Starts noticing the shift. Less men are willing to bend over backwards and approach her. Lowers physical standards, wealth status. Just want a guy with an average face, job and place for himself who is willing to commit.
32+: Standards rise back upwards for traits such as money/status than ever before.
All I hear when guys post this is whining that hot girls and wild party chicks aren't sleeping with him in his teens and early 20s.
People generally settle down with someone similar. The aging party girl with former guys with bald spots and beer bellies, burnouts keep the drug lifestyle together, hipsters with boho chicks, farm boys with redneck girls and so on.

Women will never be equal partners in relationship as long as hypergamy and women nearly always dating up is in effect.
How can you be my equal if:
1) I am taller, stronger, more durable than you
2) Usually have a higher status profession that makes more money than you
So... don't date down. There are women out there who are taller than you, stronger than you, more durable than you, more powerful than you, richer than you, and have a higher status than you in the business world. Date one of them.
But as long as you believe that you are not on equal terms with your female partner, you will not be capable of a loving, stable, successful relationship. Being taller than your girlfriend doesn't in ANY way make you superior to her. Your arguments don't even hold water.

Except women date up so if a man wants a chance at a relationship he has to date down. Very rarely do you meet women who date guys shorter than them. Very rarely do you see women date guys less fit then them unless of course said guy is rich.
Every situation is different. I think men judge women a lot more harshly, and hold them to different standards. We are less critical. As an example, my husband happens to be shorter than me, older than me, and less fit than me. (He is a former Marine, so he is still in shape, and as tough as nails lol). I just put more effort in to stay in shape than he does. Yet none of those things make me feel like I ever 'dated down' to be with him. I love him because he is wild and crazy and fun. He makes me feel alive. He's a fantastic lover. Why would I care if he's a few inches shorter or has a little extra weight? And yes, he has a little more money than me. But I work hard and have a great career. I don't need his money. I just want to be happy--and he makes me happy. None of those crazy labels society throws out mean a d@mb thing to me.

This is further from the truth. Women are more critical about men and will reject men for petty reasons. Recent articles even show women complaining that they would reject a man just because he did not get a college degree. Women reject on traits that men would not give a fuck about because they have an abundance mentality.
For every guy she rejects because he did not fit into her criteria of what she wanted she has another man waiting to fill his place at a shot at relationship.
Also i find many women such as yourself seems to suffer from solipsism that your own personal experience is general world view of the world.

Guess I'm not average. ;) I see your point, and I agree that some women are too picky. Then again, so are plenty of men. I've been rejected a fair amount of times. Men can be picky, too. I hope you find yourself an above-average woman who fits all of your criteria.
Maybe maybe not. I've seen 2 people who are ugly end up having beautiful children. Also who knows kid might take after the mother more and get better looking.
But their wives won't be attracted to them, and they'll end up cheating, causing a divorce, which results in them losing their money (and thus their attractiveness to the next wives). So maybe men should have lower standards.
No one said these men have to marry them. Again men can play the field and use gold diggers who are only after them for their money for sex as well. A man who put in the work notices a sharp rise in female attention once he's acquired money/status.
Also again whose to say a woman in her 30's isn't any better than a younger woman? Many women at this point pick men more so for their stability, good job, has his own place, money than they do for looks at this point also.
So a man has a pick for a less attractive 30 year old woman vs a more attractive early 20's girl who both only interested in him for his money and he'll pick the prettier girl which on average is the younger girl.
Think of it this way. Your a male who was not born tall or looked like a model. You see girls and attractive guys your age have sex, relationship, break up and fall in love. Yet, you get little to no female attention or for some guys not at all.
You decide to put your head down give up on relationships for a while and focus on school and job. Your hard work has paid off and you are now more financially secured and have a high status job and you notice women in their 30's who wouldn't have given you a chance in their 20's wanting to claw at you and get you to commit themselves for marriage/LTR.
Yet, you as a man have been missing out on all the fun things people were doing in their 20's such as one night stands, short term relationship, orgy, sex, and so forth. You want to get a chance to be desired and experience that and with a young girl who isn't going to be rushing you into LTR commitment and domesticated role of husband which is what most women in their late 20's
And it's not really awful. If a gold digger is using you for your money then shouldn't you use her for sex rather than delude yourself that she loves you.

Why should a man who got little to no experience suddenly pick the first woman that shows interest in her late 20's and 30's who will force him into marriage. A farmer expects crops to harvest after farming and an investor expects returns after investing. So this sort of behaviour is very understandable, we expect equal pay for equal effort. The more effort and sacrifice we make the more reward we expect.
Also I would like to add, its also to do with capturing our lost youth which we used to improve ourselves, not to mention what a women wants in her partner may not be what the man wants in his and vice versa.
We did not work so hard and sacrifice so much only have a low quality life partner. So don't be surprised if an insulted man were take revenge should she look down on him.
