Does women lower their standards when they age?

The older they get, the more they lower their standards, is it true & why?

All though life like or are constantly rearranging what they put priority on. Less wise people when young go after looks on both sides of the spectrum. And they wick themselves into finding virtue in qualities that may or lay not be there, the illusion bolstered by nice features.

As we gain wisdom IF we gain wisdom, we learn to value the content I’ve the container and hopefully most of us learn to do that. Hollywood save a few real ones, is, in my opinion a good example of people who never learn to do that bc they aren’t living in reality and it’s all fun and games until you realize you were just acting and never made a real connection.

Even myself someone never even put dating or certainly not sex or relationships or marriage in high priority for most of my life, looking back I can see people i still tricked myself Into seeing people as amazing who I think now are “ok” but not amazing but my attraction towards them skewed my view. And I’m well aware that the majority of people ever Into me well, I don’t think they even bothered to give themselves a story. Many people are ok just going in for looks or money, figuring they will bond afterwards if they even care about that. It’s also cultural.

I think in the west relationships are fairly superficial. Tho there are definitely exceptions and some times love gets to you despite your best Intentions 😂

Very few psychologically balanced people with well regulated nervous systems are is going to attract or be attracted to who they were at a very young age as they get older. Thats good thing. Life moves on. We go with it or get stuck.

I am an older woman, but I don't think I have lowered my standards as far as men go.
The only thing that I can think of is that maybe looks aren't as important to me like when I was young and younger.
However, I still desire what I wanted since I was younger. I like a man that is intelligent, interesting, treats me well, loves the heck out of me and I love the heck out of him.🙂
Most of the guys I dated drank alcohol, smoked dop, did drugs, and I don't do any of that stuf!
But I was hard pressed to date a guy that didn't do those things.

My first husband didn't do drugs, or drink alcohol at all. I believe that is why we got along so well. No argument, hardly ever, we didn't need to argue about anything. We were not chemicalized people. What we saw is what we got. It was great!

I only was with one other man, and we were engaged. He was straight as well - no drugs or alcohol. This makes a world of difference when in a relationship because you get the real person and not someone who has to be sufficiently high to be able to get through life. I didn't use drugs or drink and I got through life - I didn't die because I wasn't high! To me, these people are weak and need a crutch to do their life at it begins when they are real young and they still do drugs and drink because they have to have it to be able to go out into the world and deal with life.

In a word "yes". @caroline91 gives a prime example of how they (women) don't want to acknowledge it when they do. So they re-word it as seeing that they're simply just "open to new possibilities". When the reality is the old possibilities are just no longer an option anymore. So they either change with the times or they remain single.

Some women would still rather remain single. It all really depends how important relationships are to a woman, how much they define her. Some women are independent Some are very dependent.

Its 100% true , and very few women age well , its not pretty , the few here who have some work done , but in the West if not the absolute correct weight , and maybe some implants , just no one wants to fck them , it gets pretty frightening , horrendous.

If they are willing to do what it takes to get married, they do. Moreover, that makes sense. Starting at age 16, the standards for most young women are the hottest guys that will fuck them. However, since all men date down for sex, those guys will fuck them but they will not marry them since, for marriage the men's standards are young women within their league.

That continues until about 10 year, when at age 16 and above, and after 50 one-night-stands, and several going nowhere relationships, the women finally realize that they must find a guy that will marry them and not just f**k them. By that age they have lost their bloom but the hides can still get married when they lower their standards enough to get married.

When you're younger you really don't know what you want or what's good or going to work for you. With age comes experience and wisdom. So as you age your standards dont lower or become higher they change all together. Now that I know what I want and what I deserve my standards are completely different. They are deeper and more complex. And yes on a personal level they are much harder to meet as a guy. But I would rather be single than settle and not have what I value in someone.

Nah the opposite is true tho. Younger people are dumb and willing to put up with more bs in their relationship. Once they get older they start getting more standards cause they've learned what they can and cannot handle in a relationship. This goes for both women and men.

I think we are more eager to settle down because we want a family and we want children. I don’t know about lowering standards though. I think it’s a general misconception. The truth is the longer a woman goes single the less she is willing to tolerate. Older single women are less likely to tolerate cheaters for example than younger women.

Yeah i guess cuz they're expectations were too high in the beginning from a bad guy... But ultimately they think they can survive with at least someone who cares for them who respect her.. and it's not about money but to be satisfied with little... They even regret some guy who had feelings for her but she put him in a freindszone... So basically they don't lower their standards but upgrade themselves for a better version to be loved!

I think so. People when they think they can do better they become choosy. But when they notice that this is the best they can do or achieve they lower their standards. As women age they become less desireable to men. So they settle for whatever chance

I have found it to be exactly the opposite.
I feel the vast majority of women as they get older tend to not to settle for less.
Why should they?
They are usually set, they have a great friend base, they do not need a man to validate their existence.
Why bring someone into your life just to have them there if you do not enjoy being with them?
That would be miserable.
I would take being single over that any day.
