Why do ex girlfriend give their boyfriend the silent treatment instead of talking about the problem, when fixable?

To be honest, I think it probably just hurts her too much to talk to you. She may seem like a jerk by not talking to you, but she probably just feels too much pain.

I don't know I would say yes, but you know her best... if this is someone that runs away then no... but, if she's doing this to get a better perspective, and become a better person then sure. Sometimes we just need a little space to regroup.. get to the fundamentals.. this silent treatment is not easy, it's needed but through out the process we miss you terribly and truth is we wish at times you just call... anyway it can get confusing based on each person thought process I don't wanna confuse you... to answer your question, Yes.. time heals all.

Yup, maybe.. I've cried and I was down for a week or so in my situation, I felt I had to let go of someone because I've realized that it was never going to be, and I couldn't remain just friends cause that was unhealthy for my sanity.. and now it been a few weeks and god knows I want to contact him badly, but I'm scared to. Not because of what he's going to say, cause he doesn't know I've blocked him, and truth is I'm not a priority in his life, and well, with that said I'm like what's the point :( it'll just hurt me in the end. So I think to myself to try harder to move on... but omggggg it's killing me I miss his face , his smile his voice, ... but I know better, I look at our past and I know there's no way

Being honest at the very least..
Sometimes you feel like you are beating a dead horse if you constantly going over the same argument and nothings changed so you get tired of saying or doing the same thing over and over.. it's when the "silent treatment occurs".. it's hard but at times you get so piss, or hurt, I guess this silent treatment is also time for her to heal and probably re thinking things.
