Why does ignoring girls work?

It's simple.
Women thrive on attention and "the chase".
Ignoring a female causes them to try and get your attention back.
If you show them the attention they want, they lose interest because they know they have you and therefore you aren't a challenge anymore.

Also if you see a hot girl with an ugly girl and you ignore the hot girl and talk to the ugly girl, the hot girl will lose her shit because even though most girls have self esteem issues, she will say in her head, "I'm prettier than her, why is he talking to her and not me." and you will notice her doing everything to get you to pay attention to her.

*NOTE: you can only ignore so much before she labels you a dick and cuts you out. So every once in a while give her just enough to feed her ego.

I guess it works for the ones who are really bothered by it. If I ignore a female I really couldn't care less whether or not it bothers her, I just don't think about her anymore.

Maybe it works for girls who are willing to play games and/or want attention from anyone and anything.

Personally, I have too much self respect and dignity to chase after a guy who isn't mature enough to act like man. I don't see why I should waste any of my time or energy on someone who thinks it's "funny" or fine to ignore someone else.

It doesn't work on every chick. If she's not that into him, has self esteem, has other guys to pick from, or if she's hip to his game... it won't work.

If she genuinely likes him or if she likes the attention he usually gives her, if she's desperate or if she doesn't know how the game works/how to play the game, it just might work. 👌

It doesn't work for me. I must admit that It worked when I was 14/15. I was intrigued why would someone do that but not anymore.
It is too childish and tiresome.
I don't play that game.
If a guy wants my attention he should give me his.
That's fair.
So don't think as if it works, I am sure it doesn't work for many girls.

It doesn't work for every girl. An insecure girl might react on this but most girls (atleast I hope so) know better and are not gonna run after a guy who is not sure how to handle/communicate with her.

Nope it doesn't work seriously not sure why guys think this is a "tactic " and will make them more desireable.
In fact it makes a girl think you don't care that much about her and she will get hurt but then will try to distance herself from you to not be emotionally attached and in the end she'll think you're just an asshole who's not worth her time.
Effort should come from both sides.

It works for the simple reason that immature people want what they can't have. And once they have it, it loses its appeal. It does create attraction if used properly as a manipulative tool, but it creates superficial kind of attraction.
