Why girls ignore boys?

so i recently met someone who at first said thank you if i gave her something but now she waits like 3 days then says to her freinds while im in the room something in context to what i gave her and or later that day to her freinds says she got the note loud enough for me to hear but she never talks to me and when i approach her she kinda gives me a blank stare straight ahead until im in front of her then she looks at me and after i leave takes whatever i gave her. (it might not be that bad or it might be but i was trying to be polite and the girl is standing there so i think she gonna leave and later one of my female freinds says she might have wanted me to go first because she wanted to talk with her freind about something private) this is really hard cause i am in love with this girl and i feel like she either dislikes me or is super shy and to make matters worse all her freinds got to know her in 2 days whereas i have been trying 3 months with acknowledgement later on from her indirectly or from her freind who says thank you for her any suggestions?
