Question

Guys, would you approach a gal with RBF? If so, what makes you want to approach?

Gals... If you have RBF, did someone tell you or what? Have you taken steps to try to aliviate this? Also, what do you think of guys that approach you (or other gals) when you (they) have RBF "on."

Well, first of all -- Biometric research has shown that RBF is actually a real thing, with a concrete, measurable physiological basis.

So... for those "afflicted", there probably isn't a whole lot they can do about it -- other than play to their strengths.

I have a particularly severe case ahhah... some more flighty types seem like they're going to turn to stone if they look directly at me.

I gotta say, though -- it works pretty well with my personality and my life. #srslytho

First, I'm a freelancer who negotiates a lot for my living, and -- this is basically just common sense, but there have been studies to back it up -- the RBF phenomenon is a HUGE help when it comes to "being taken seriously" in a business context.
I'd say it's right up there with eye contact and (especially) the strategic use of silence.

When it comes to boys -- well, my idea of "flirting" is basically "getting up in a boy's face and challenging him", and I am a horrible fail at absolutely anything that could be described as "coy", "demure", or "traditionally ladylike". Ahahahaaa
I've always gone for men who like to play my little verbal (and nonverbal) judo games... and can beat me at my own game (which is rare, but, I did marry the one man who consistently does).
If I had a "softer" face, would I meet such a man? Nowhere near as easily, I'll tell ya that much.

Soooo yeah, tbh I think life would be a lot more annoying if I were more "approachable"-looking.

It's funny, actually, because in actuality I'm one of those eternal optimists who's almost... irrepressibly friendly. But my face can come across as "standoffish" or "intimidating" to those who don't know me. (My height probably doesn't help here, either.)
One of my girlfriends captured the essence of this perfectly, when she described me as someone who "pisses positivity and shits glitter everywhere". 😂😂😂

... but, yeah, have some empathy y'all, since this is one of those things ya can't really do much about. Other than use it to yr advantage in life and love <3

My sister has it even when she's happy. She's tried to smile all the time but it's pointless because people shouldn't have to ask if she's okay all the time. It's the way she is. Approach her. She could be the opposite of what you think she's actually feeling. Take a chance.
