How do I know if a socially awkward girl likes me?

There is this socially awkward girl at school that I'm kind of crushing on, but I have no idea if she likes me or not. She doesn't really talk to a lot of people, it's actually kind of painful to see her in a group as she kind of just stands there while everybody else are having conversations. She seems fine talking to other people in a group, but will rarely talk to me when other people are around. When we're alone she has actual conversations with me though. I would think that she doesn't like me, but last Sunday she asked what I was doing and then asked if wanted to go see a movie with her. She didn't ask anybody else and we ended up meeting at noon and didn't come back to the dorms until almost midnight. But there were some awkward pauses when we were hanging out since she's so awkward. I thought maybe she liked me, but we had made plans for this past weekend and she flaked on them. When I finally asked her about it she said that she wasn't sure that we were even going since I. We might do something this weekend, but I'm seriously confused about whether she likes me or not. I just don't get why she ignores me sometimes, but also wants to hang out with just me. She even mentioned maybe bringing a mutual friend along, but when I asked that friend she said that she never asked her. So how can I tell if a socially awkward girl is into me?
